I've found this, seem to be a new line of action figures from Volks. I don't know this anime but the mecha looks really cool IMHO. They should be around the same size and price as the A3 Muv-Luv serie.

I was thinking about getting this. I am curious if the production PVC figure looks as good as these pics. I think its around 75usd for a 144 scale figure.

Here's a link to the first 19 chapters of the manga, I kinda liked it, the character and mecha designs were really interesting. www.onemanga.com/Kurogane_no_LineBarrel/I'm kinda on the fence on Linebarrel, I like it but I'm not sure if I want to own it just yet.

Been wondering about Linebarrel alright. Some of them look a little Gundam-ish, and a lot very Super Robot Wars-ish. That fig is very awesome looking but I wouldn't mind seeing what other designs it has to offer.

Not out yet, I don't believe. Neither are the kits, for that matter.
As a side note; I watched the first episode of the anime and I wanted to gag, it was so atrocious. I love the mecha designs but ... cripes! i'm going to try the second episode tonight, but unless that seriously wows me I'm going to have to scrub this one from the watch list.

Dengeki Hobby had an ad for a B-club LE PVC figure at one point, but I don't think it was ever released. If I can find the ad I'll scan and post. About the Volks releases. The proportions and esthetics look wonderful imho. I wish Koto had taken a cue, as their designs are much more bulky and rugged. Still, they look quite nice as well, just not as sleek as Volks' PVC fig. Maybe Volks will release a nice GK or something. Concerning the anime. Watched the first episode last night. I'll say I thought is was good. Maybe not great and definitely not the aggressive super robot MANime that I was expecting. We're still early yet so here's hoping. One thing I thought would bother me was the character designs. Hisashi Hirai, the man behind the Gundam Seed works most notably, was also at the helm here. I loved his work on S-CRY-ed, hated it on MSGSEED and SEED D. But here it blends nicely and captures some of the feel of the manga designs. For a while his work sort of super-saturated anime. Perhaps still does.... Story...they're all over the place here and it really mixes the accounts of the manga, but I didn't mind so much. Definitely gonna hang in for an ep or two more.

hmm maybe i will check out the anime some day.
I say that the mech has a ver ZOE look to them though!

Not the volks version, but the Koto kit doesn't seem to have its own thread and I don't know if there's enough interest to justify one: www.geocities.jp/hetare_d_max/gallery-Koto_LINEBARREL.htmlA buildup of the Kotobukiya kit version. Not bad, really, for being largely cast-in-color and unpainted.

Feel bad to keep hijacking this thread with Koto kit info, but since no volks info seems to be forthcoming... ... more information about the color separation and assembly of the Kotobukiya kit. Looks pretty darn snazzy: ga.sbcr.jp/mplamo/011527/

Very excited about All KNLB offerings. A while back I said I'd find and post a scan of theB-club LE Linebarrel PVC figure. Well, I knew it was in an old issue of Dengeki Hobby, but couldn't remember which year or month, so I began a pretty extensive search. Finally found it! ;D Not sure if they ever released this, but I wish I would have asked my peeps at Rainbow10 to special order one for me.
