I was in the middle of pre-order Revoltechs and stuff when I ran across this. It's REALLY impressive. I ordered it right away.
I like MSiA in general, but the rubbery plastic often makes them look not very solid in the thinner, more detailed areas. The 00 Gundam looks as good as a top notch Mastergrade.
I'm still unsure on the twin GN Drives, though. They look a bit awkward. And the Dynames redesign looks godawful too. But I like the main body design of the 00.

Actually I think they're more in scale with MSiA. Also, I'm not as impressed with the Robot Damashii's as I'd really like to be yet. Like with Revoltechs, that might change once I get one, but right now I think the SCM EX Rx-78 is the best looking Gundam action figure out right now.

Is this figure 1/144 scale? Bigger than or same size as MSiA?

I'm unsure. I know Offshoots were the same size as 1/144 kits and older MSiAs were smaller(Robot Damashii combines the two). I'm hoping it's MSiA size.

I have exia and Arios, they are the same size if not slightly larger then the MSIA figures. they are made of harder plastic and are more sturdier then the MSIA figures. However they are slightly les articulated then thier MSIA counterparts, but this is barely noticeble. One main difference is the lack of double jointed eblbows. Also the torso has limited range in the exia figure due to the lack of moveable pelvic armor so the torso gets cought up in it not allowing full 180degree movement. also the torso bending is limited (dont remember if any of the MSIA figures even allowed the torso to bend forward and back words.) Overall they are great sculpts made of sturdier plastic and joints, exia has tons of accessories, wheares arios only has one gun and one extra set of hands along with beam saber. Transforming him is simlar to krios except i like krios's design better.
I managed to pic mine up ($20 each) at a trade show and dont know where i put his card. I havent seen any online dealers aside from HLJ and hobby search offereing them though.
maybe i will post pics some time

Too bad it's still like $40 after shipping from everywhere else.

well cheaper then buying them from HLJ or hobbysearch they are still around 28-30 plus shipping overseas. So its not so bad, I paide only 7 for shipping from image anime for both of the figures i was looking for. It does suck because i got my first two at a collectible trade show for 20 each. yeah image does over charge but they often get itmes before aother domestic online stores (even better if you live in or near NY like me cuz it only takes a day to get items shipped) also you can drive into the city to thier store which they give deals if you pay in cash. Also very few places are offering these figures at the moment for some reason, becaue they are definitely awesome products.

Got overflag custom and cheridum the other day!!
Overflag is pretty basic not many accessories or weapons. He only has one beam saber and that rail gun which he can only hold one way. He can, however, transform into jet mode, though partially. You cant, (or i cant figure it out) latch the gun that forms the nose of the plane onto his chest like in the show or other models for that matter. He has one GN drive which can be mounted either on his shoulder or to his back. In addition, he was one open face swap out and three sets of hands. Very solid feel to this one.
Cheridum is very cool. He is right under gundam 00. He has quite a few accessories plus an added stand. The figure itself is an interesting design, his feet are one peice so there is not heal or toe movement but he has great range in his ankles. He has a nice back pack with two flaps (non moveable) that cover the thrusters in the pack. Next we have a very odd looking barrle that protudes from his rear pelvic area. It looks pretty ugly by itself and its quite big as well. However, this is where you store his floating armor system, thus giving him a sort of green tail which, while awkward, doesnt look soo bad when covered with shield pieces. The shiled pieces themsevles are pretty sweet as well. in all he has around 11 pieces which some are apart of his body. Two make up his knees, and then another two make up the small shield he wears on either side of his shoulders. 5 pieces attach to the barrel thing and there is one spare. He comes with a stand just for his shield, i guess in the anime he has free control of each piece of his shiled and they can arrange themselves in a number of patterns. Unfortunately you can only do two differnt patterns unlike his HG counter part. Still a cool feature to have. He has three weapons that all have secondary forms. He has two smaller hand guns which convert to mini hatchets, they are scuplted well and made of the same hard plastic as the figure is. The two guns can be stored on his back pack. Next we have his sniper rifle (or whatever its called) which can fold into a small machinegun type weapon, very sweet. The gun is very sturdy however its a bit big for cheridum as his hands dont have a good grip on it and the gun tends to lean from side to side, making it hard to keep straight. he also comes with subsitute head peace which shows the lens on the crown of his head (i guess for sniping) and then two parts that extend form his back and fold to his shoulders (these are very loose however) where you then can place the included visor over his face.
in the end i love this line, while its a step above MSIA they did loose a few things while gaining a lot more. The two most notable losses is the very limited range of rotation in the torso, and the loss of double jointed elbows. I find the torso to be the most annoying part. however they now have the ability to bend back and forth which i beleive no other MSIAs could do.
Pic these up if you ever see them, you wont regret it!

eh robot damashii looked promising but they disappoint me. they are too childish for me. they have ugly markings on the back, comes with no display stand (why won't bandai put stands for these and hcm pros), and lack articulation.

yes they do have the ugly logo on the back which is a not pretty. they do have stand but you have to buy them spereately. I dont think they look childish at all, however, but to each his own. I guess they could have more panel lining but you can add that yourself rather easily. though Gundam00 has some subtle panel lining.

Having recently purchased the 00 Raiser set from the Robot Damashii line... I can say I'm satisfied. Although I wish the prices were lower but oh well.
I was quite surprised to find nub marks on the figure... but looking more closely at what the RD is listed under on most websites... you'll find it's listed as a *completed kit*... so naturally since it is a kit you'll find the nub marks but they are cleaned up and hidden well.
The articulation is quite good... no idea how it compares to the HCM Pro 00's... and it comes with tons of accessories.
Now I believe the HCM Pro line has the advanage in terms of the look of the scuplt but... the size, I mean the RD figures are smaller then 1/144 scales... and the HCM Pros are like 3 cm shorter then the RD figures..... they're just too tiny.. and they cost almost as much, sometimes more the RD line.
Anyway, with the release of the RD and HCM Pro Seravee... I'm kinda disappointed. The RD seravee has some ugly holes in all the cannons on its body.. and only has 2 beam sabers as apposed to 4 with the HCM Pro... frankly I think both should of had 6 to go with Seravee's 6 arms but whatever. I'm sticking with the RD line.
I'm waiting for Seravee in the mail, I'll be picking up Garazzo since I love the design *beam claws =D* and it just happens to be a rival of the Seravee so ya... works perfectly
Also if they ever make it I'll def be buying some kind of Masurao figure. If they release it in the Trans-AM color scheme I don't know what I'll do though because it would totally go with my Trans-AM 00 Raiser so I would HAVE to get it but at the same time I prefer Masurao's actualy colors.

Welcome to the club man! I'm waiting on my Seravee as well!
Also, Mechmaster, do you happen to have the Gawain RD? How is it? Can it's fingers move or does it just have open hands all the time? I'm trying to decide between the Gawain or the SHCM Zaku- I know how to get both for roughly the same price at around $55, so I'm trying to figure out which is the better value.

No I have been waiting for it to be released from BBTS (if you know of a place i can get it faster for that price, I would love to know). I havent seen any reviews on Gawain, just know its bigger then the others like Extended MSIA NU Gundam and Sazabi were. I would assume he comes wiht at least closed fists, since he doenst hold any weapons in the anime. It woudl be cool if they had hads for the shooting fingers though. I dont know much about the SHCM Zaku, is it 1/144 scale?
