Aesthetics and popular choice: Mekanda gift box set Some hard core collectors know how difficult the Japanes box Daibaron is to find.......
I call it a tie. Ed

I have now the opportunity to observe both Bullmark Masterpieces with my own eyes (I bought them ;D ;D ;D) and I must say comparing the two is almost impossible from close perspective. If I have to pick a winner, though, I'd choose Mekandar for its delicate design and I'd choose Daibaron for its ruggedness.
Thank you Admin1 for your helpful reply. It help a lot.

Good for you!!!
There can't be many people out there with BOTH these babies...
Did you ever get the midsize Daibaron?

I like and collect dx chogokin (preferably large transform ones) , and I figure these 2 bullmarks dx are not very large so the st and half dx will be too small for me. Besides, it was quite a spend and I am still recovering from it... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D. Will seriously considering the half dx for distant future, though.

I know what you mean - those two will dent the most expansive wallets.
Large Transforming DX CHogokins is a pretty good collecting strategy - there's not too many to go after, and each and every one is a total blue-chip!
What's next on your radar?

Volt-in-box with yellow elbow. Mint one with box. This think is another wallet drainage so I really really have to save. The not so crazy one will be Sentai Flash King DX. I missed the chance to get it at an ok price a while back because I was aiming something else. Now it is nowhere in sight. I would love to get another bullmark chogokin, though but still not sure what.

You have good taste there! I'm still building my Volt In Box....it's sure easier to buy a complete one rather than hunt for parts, but I guess that's the thrill of the chase!
Who makes the Flash King? I've missed that one!
Bullmark DXs are thin on the ground. The only one that comes to mind is the Diapolon set - otherwise you're into the STs - all of which are nice & chunky, but will sidetrack you from your 'Large, Transforming DX' quest!

Flash King is the sentai robot that come before Maskman. I believe he was from 1986 and only released in Japan. Beautiful robot with red and black color dominated.
Daipolon is great idea. They can be combined and I do believe a thread in here shows picture of a dx gift set version of it. It says it is very rare though

I found a pic of Flash King....I remember having a small Maskman figure who looked like him - but I sold it on years ago.
As for Diapolon, they're not impossible to find - I saw a set only last week for $3700 (separate boxes, not a giftset).
And yes he/it does combine....

I think I saw that one with 3700 too. It is way to expensive. There was one in yahoo japan for only around 1350. It has vanished now though

Just to chime in on the Bullmark holy grail thing..
On a scale of 1 to 10:
Daibaron DX: 2 or 3 as it comes up all the time. If you wanted one of these tomorrow you could have one by next week no problem. All that without REALLY breaking the bank.
Diaporon Gift Set: 5. Only comes up every once in a blue moon and goes for CASH.
Mid sized Dibaron: 6 or 7. So hard to find the legs for these. Overall, pretty rare.
Mekanda Robo: 10. Hard as hell to put one together piece by piece and even harder to get a gift set as they are quite price prohibitive.
I think this is a fair shake. Suggestions?

Sounds about right for the DXs...
I'd say there's one Bullmark diecast that while not as expensive as the DXs, is harder to come by... Angiles. n the last ten years, I've seen only one ST Angiles, whereas I've seen a handful of Mekanders.

Aww sh*t... I was only talking about the giftsets.. But yeah, Angilas is pretty hard to come by. I sold my loose one for $300 and was shocked!! It comes up a few times a year on YJA and goes for $3-500 boxed. BUT.... If we're talking the true "Holy Grail" of Bullmark diecast then there is no question that it is the DX Robo Kress. It hasn't come up in over a year and when it does $1500 maybe. I'll have to ask Duban.

Angiles is very beautiful but robot kress is not so much. It look like someone with a shaggy mustache ;D. Does it transform into something else?

I must admit I've been having a nightmare trying to find a complete Bullmark Tri-Max Gasshin giftset. I've only seen two come up for auction in the last couple of years and both were missing the overlay. Maybe I've just been unlucky

Have you checked yahoo japan?
How does Tri-Max related to Mekanda? In toyboxdx, they are put in one group but that is all I know.

Yes I've been scouring YJ...so much scrolling! I have never seen the anime so I'm not sure how it fits into the Mekanda universe. It looks like a practical vehicle so I imagine the hero uses it to drive to work
