Yeah they did but its been several months and I forgot the estimated dates. I would expect Gattiger in maybe 3 or 4 months and Z Mazinger around the end of the year. But this is just based on my old man's memory.. if memory serves, both of them will be out this year. HLpro does not handle the pre-orders, that is going to be done by the distributors like PBM.. and PBM does not seem to bother with pre-orders bc there are almost always enough figures to satisfy the hardcore collectors... if you place your order within a few months of release you will get one.. there are even a few Gin Gins and Giru Giurs out there still.. They know how much the market can absorb,
As a side note, I was told that Metaltech figures are selling faster than they did in the past as the line becomes bigger and has more figures in it..
I would think that by the time Zmazinger comes out, it will be a real game changer for Metaltech... so the distributors may be worrying more about "per orders" by that time.

Ill preorder from Entertainment Earth, much faster and nicer to deal with than PBM.Dont like the servioe or Paul frankly.Im super excited for gattaiger! I hope the Z-Mazinger looks half as good as the ET garage kit, that is a perfect sculpt,I own it.It will be nice to have it in diecast, and with that slimmer look,HLpro is known for, excited!

Never dealt with PBM. For items like this, I pre-order from BBTS and take advantage of the Pile of Loot. After my experience with Gin Gin, which is the very first HL Pro product that I ever purchased, I am looking forward for both Gattaiger, Z-Mazinger, the Metaltech base, and those new jumbos.
I just hope that HL Pro also makes both Govarian and God Mazinger. (Are you reading this HL Pro? Please make Metaltech versions of Govarian and God Mazinger).

There is a bunch of stuff on their official list then other stuff on the "Mental List" of things they want to do... they are going to have to get that "official to do list" first.. so it may take awhile. Could be by that time they may have to react to something that is going on in the market at that time. We just have to wait and see what they do..

Tom what do you mean exactly by reacting to what is happening in the market? Obtaining Liscenses or?It certainly cant be what is popular at the time,as we are talking about shows that aired 40 years ago.LOL

ha ha Baron, you ask some badass questions but no that's not what Im talking about.. Im talking about the strategic selection of character at any given time...
Its safe for me to say that HL is "winding up" the Metaltech line right now.. Gin Gin did real well and support for that line has expanded. I tend to think that each one will come a little faster than the last one... right now they are mostly working on building a stronger foundation for the launch of future characters. Think of them as "laying the foundation" right now... the bigger the line is, the more freedom to get crazy they will have. Know what I talking about? Looking at what they have announced so far, the foundation itself is very unique.. so you can bet as it opens up its going to get real interesting.

They're selecting characters no other toy company is making at this time, thus not having to worry about competition from other companies because right now there's no one else making a Gin Gin or whatever. Everyone is going after Maz this and that, and Grendy this and that, because the market is saturated with most of the popular toy robot characters. So let's produce characters which collectors yet do not have in their collection, characters they've been waiting for but never expected so soOon... ...the market will come running with wallets wide open. zozo-mag

No, it was just described to me.. but I think its pretty much at concept at this stage. If you see a good deal on a normal Gin Gin go for it.. a repaint is probably months away at least. The normal one is a very good figure anyway.. my only complaint on it was that the saw blades popped off a little bit too easy for me but I got used to handling that figure over time.. the concept behind the re-issue version was a darker, more sinister version in dark metallic colors similar to some Hlpro drawings of Gin Gin. Ill be getting that one too.

So let's produce characters which collectors yet do not have in their collection, characters they've been waiting for but never expected so soOon... ...the market will come running with wallets wide open. zozo-mag Not only characters that companies are not doing at the time but also ones that were done badly in history or characters that compliment other Hlpro characters . Normally because the way we have been collecting in the past, we get a Getter Dragon, Mazinger , Great Mazinger and Grendy and put them all together in a display and say "That is a collection... they all compliment each other". But right now in my case I have a Anime Grendy, a Giru Giru and Gin Gin with a scale TFO and THAT is a collection too.. they all compliment each other... well more can be added to things like that... they could do a V2 and throw that in there.. they could come out with another Grendy enemy and that would work in there also.. Then, Zmazigner enemies, Gattiger enimes.. just whatever would be cool to release at any given time. So right now they are building a foundation that you need to unlock doors later on in the line... some stuff could just come out of the blue too. Anything is possible with these guys. If reaction isn't good to one character, they move in another direction based off another character... like evolution through natural selection. They also are not interested in getting into the "technology war".. they are more into the "Charm offensive".. its an attack with simple-looking, charming and honest figures that have good amounts of diecast .. like the figures you wished they made back in the 70s when we were kids but that were impossible to make in that era. If you take the shields off of Gin Gin and move him around, you will see that he is a real clean figure..almost like a vinyl action figure done in diecast. .. I think its a real good balance between articulation and clean looks. Each figure in the future will have its own system of articulation built just for that character, no standardized parts will be used.. so each figure will be unique some characters will allow for more articulation some less but they are willing to give up some articulation in exchange for a clean looking figure... and I like that kind of thinking because my figures just stay on display and I change the poses up only once a every few months or so.

I LOve the way Gin Gin and now Roboizer/Gattaiger has the hidden type joint system, like how the upper legs are flush with the hips,it just looks more anime like.Love that, ingenious. And to do it without paint scratches, plastic to metal, nice.

I got a feeling that on some characters its going to make a huge difference in how they display vs what the other companies have done in the past.

Thanks for the update. Looks like both top and bottom of the saucer is diecast, HLPro trademark. Good job. Can we see the robot now?
