ok Heard back from HLPro.. they told the distributors to hold on for another 2 or 3 more weeks. I was given the impression that HLPro had to send some kind of component back to a contractor or maybe a department because it did not pass inspection. I was given no details but Sounded to me like it was something small, like something wasn't cast in the right color or maybe something like one of those saw blades did not fit right.. something like that. I its a good sign that HLpro is really doing what they can to get this one right.. so, end of the month it should be for sale. Thanks for the headsup Gettershadow. I'm really excited for this one. Ok Gold and everyone else. I got the details. The first batch of mass production saw blades came in from a contractor and they fit "ok" but not really what HLPro was looking for. HLPro wanted to make sure that the fit was real tight to the shields so you could play with him and not worry about the things popping off. So, they ditched that first batch and re-ordered another batch so the pegs would get better friction and stay attached better. They said, that first batch was probably good enough but they wanted to play it safe and keep customer satisfaction high.
I figure, they don't want another "Grendy elbow" situation because they know how tough the "robot critics" are on their products and they want this one to be as perfect as possible. I dont know about you guys but Im really looking forward to this one..
now I didn't even dare to ask about bonus items but this is a major release so you can bet its got a surprise waiting for us in the package. hope its "Hand Beams" personally but I doubt its gonna have anything to do with Grendy V1 just because there is talk of a V2 some time in the future. (unless perhaps its something that could be used on either version)
Nothing was said about other versions of Gin Gin but it would not surprise me to see two more versions of Gin Gin .. this one seems to be a "anime" version, it wouldn't surprise me to see "manga" come down the pipe and maybe even something very limited like a "glow in the dark" version.. HLPro seems to like to release limited "glow in the dark" enemies now and then.. Id say a glow version would be pretty cool.

I got a feeling this is gonna be the the best Metaltech yet and it will be real nice to finally give Grendy a humanoid enemy to fight with in my display..
