Quoted from Metaltech's site, " METALTECH 04 GIN GIN, Roboizer will be done with a non destructive engineered design, avoiding large gaps between articulations such as the top and back of the legs, skinny waist, shrunked head and etc.. also will respect as in the anime movements and poses." I'm pretty sure this is directed towards Bandai SRCs. Metaltech's of course completely right about all the stings towards Bandai's SRCs of course. The point about "The shrunken heads and skinny waists" of majority of SRCs ring especially true to me. I completely agree with HLPro. I find it ugly when Bandai tries give that BS "superhero" proportion to my super robots. I will hold the judgement till Gin Gin comes out, but if the quality of future Metaltechs be worth the twice the SRC or at least equal in quality of Sentinel Getter then it will have my attention. Aside from sculpt, I mean if the articulation of Metaltech is at least half of that of SRC while hiding all the unsightly kibbles involved with joint articulations, then Metaltech has valid argument. What do you think? But all the points Hlpro's making about Bandai from the maker of Metaltech 1 Grendy, it's kinda funny and ironic...At least HLPro's trying, I wonder Bandai even can or willing to see it's shortcominngs.... The bolded part is the 1st thing that came to my mind when I read the 1st couple lines lol.....all what I can say is time will show us how good HLPRO has become...I just hope it happens in this century

Yeah' the ratio of price vs quality, wise SRC is really hard to be critical. Grendy 1 is all the things HLPro is pointing out as negatives, so if anything I hope HLPro is moving into right direction. Like you said Ross, they just need to move along faster before the said competions (yes, I said it) leapfrogs them.
I know Metaltech is quite a bit bigger figure with lot more metal, so if the articulation is half as good as SRC while retaining all the quality HLPro listed, then it will be in good place.

Which Grendizer is heavier? Metaltech or SRC. The SRC feels heavier.
How much is GinGin going to be?

Gin Gin is around 120 to 130 shipped. It's due end of this month.
As for the first question, I don't have Metaltech GRENDY 1 but I saw the awesome review GetterShadow did and it was quite a bit bigger then SRC Great Mazinger. But, alas I don't know who's heavier between the two Grendies....

MT01 HAS to be heavier, its bigger and has more diecast. MTO1 was executed during another time in HLPRO's history and its been out long enough and its run its course. No more MT01s will be made, the ones that are being sold now is the last of them. (hint-hint) Now is the time to buy a Mt01 for collectors value. When they are gone, they are gone forever.
..and greengetter, yes the stings were aimed at SRC. Bandai has fired off its shot, CM fired off its shot and now HLPRO is going to start firing off its shots. If you ask me, CM and SRC missed the mark... HLPRO is aiming for a bullseye.

Ooh I can't wait for your video review of Gin Gin. Thanks in advance.
Wah? You mean about the hitting the bulls mark?!? You mean about the upcoming Grendy V2? I need more obvious hint. GS, I'm OLD! Are you implying the Grendy V2 will have firing drill punch?

CM fired off its shot and now HLPRO is going to start firing off its shots. If you ask me, CM and SRC missed the mark... HLPRO is aiming for a bullseye. Ofcourse your speaking of firing fists..besides that though SRC Grendizer can be compared to the Metaltech, but you cant compare such a larger more mature figure like CMs Grendizer and all it boasts,to a 5 inch Metaltech figure. They are just not the same thing. Its like comparing SOC Gunbuster to SRC Gunbuster, just 2 different animals, not that one is better than teh other, just different types of toys. .Im not sure if I like the idea of firing fists on my modern gokins anymore, that is best left to effect pieces and the imagination, and vintage bots.If they can pull it off without a large firing switch Im game. To have a good modern firing fist you need 1.It to STAY in! {CMS Jeeg issue} 2.a very good spring system 3.A very non-intrusive cumbersome, obvious firing switch. 4.Another set of arms that DONT fire included.like SOCs do.

no, you guys are reading too much into it.. Im just talking about the way that the figures look. The sculpts and what they do.. the V2 is going to be better than the SRC and the CM.. youll understand when the time comes.

I can't wait for it than. I for one are so glad CMs got pushed backed till end of Sep. It will give my wallet some healing time as late August is going to be another BRUTAL month for my poor wallet... GS, I finally got the hint...Grendy 1's production stopped. Which means the Grendy 2 is revving up for production and is just waiting for the current stock of Grendy 1 to sell out. I almost made another rumor...teehee "Sorry~ bout that Warriors."

I'm sorry guys, but I only go by facts. Although SRC Grendy has a different look than we used to, but it's an AMAZING figure when it comes to engineering!!! CM's on the other hand is everything I wanted when it comes to how Grendy should look like, and the only thing I'm waiting for is the engineering and QC and I have faith in CM when it comes to this department. Let's be real. We suppose to have MT04 in hand at March, and we are in August and still nothing!!!. We didn't even see any prototypes for MT05, MT06, or MT07 so we shouldn't even be bragging on how great Grendy V2 will be. By the time HLPRO's V2 Grendy sees the light, my kids will have grandkids (My oldest is only 5 by the way ), and V21 of Bandai and CM will be out

nope Gin Gin was done more than a month ago.. its just sitting there waiting for PBMs payment. The Shipment is for the US and the EU area.. Sorry Ross, the CM Spazer has almost no dicast in it and its shaped like a Big Mac.. it also does not do what was shown in the show. As for the SRC, the articulation is fine but the bulk of the sculpt is not in character for Grendizer and his forearms look like sunflowers. Only thing I like about the SRC is the weapon effects.. not bashing all SRCs though.. the Mazingers are great. I have two of them already, Im just gonna get shin mazinger and maybe raideen then call it quits on SRC...Im losing interest in them.

If PBM didn't pay for their US shipment, then what about EU and Middle East. Why we haven't seen a single figure in other customers hands yet. By the way, Paul from PBM is not the only retailer that is selling Gin Gin in the US, and they still didn't get their figures yet. Regarding the CM's spazer, I really don't care about the dicast, and it's shaped fine. At least we don't need to take grendizer in half to insert him in his Spazer if you know what I mean ... and to be honest who will keep their Grendy in it's spazer? what matter is how AWESOME CM's Grendy looks like and it's full of diecast SRC and SOC series are the best on the market when it comes to quantity, quality, and diecast content...just wait for the mazinkaiser and Shin Getter...have you seen these yet?

update. the funds arrived they ship out on the 15th of this month. Be here in 2 weeks. Actually Paul handles parts of Europe also.. It all shipped out at once to everywhere. The was a huge production run to supply all the regions, they all kind of went in on it depending on how much each region needed.
I cant discuss Sapzers anymore.. lets just say all issues with all Spazers from all companies will be addressed in V2.
