I really need to know if there is any lag on the xbox live gameplay. I've played the Street fighter 2 turbo on xbox live and there is just too much lag. Have no problem performing moves like hadoken and shoryuken on regular arcade mode, but when I switch over to play on xbox live, it's ridculous.

Still on the fence about this one, I'll look at it one time and the animation looks horrible, but the next time I look at it it doesn't look half bad... I'll probably just keep playing 3rd Strike on PS2 and wait for 4 unless a friend gets it.

I'm on the fence because it's $15 on PSN that could go to the purchase of SF4. Plus I have plenty of other stuff to occupy my on-line PS3 time (WipEoutHD, anyone? And really, WipEoutHD was actually also a remake)... I can only justify so much remake nonsense. That said, I'm also waiting for the on-line bugs to be ironed out because I also heard the same as you guys - the PS3 version is also choppy and experiencing dropped connections.

I've played it as well on xbox live 2 days ago, still has a little lag but overall very playable and fun. Only thing I was dissappointed with was the fact that it didn't save my record, don't know why, maybe because they weren't rank matches. Got a chance to test it out when my cousin lend me his gamertag and allowed me to downloaded to my 360 console. Was able to play under my gamertag after loading the game with his ID then logging off his and switch over to my own ID. Played 11 matches, won 8 of them. I recommended it, cool remix graphics, always been a fan of UDON Comics, and for you PS3 owners, 15$ shouldn't be all that bad since you don't have to pay for onlne gameplay. I know there shouldn't be any game lags, if you play only the solo arcade mode.

So okay, here we are a couple of weeks later and I decided, what the heck, it's only $15. I played it a bit tonight and I was immediately reminded how much I hate playing fighting games with the PS controller. My thumb hurts. I can't wait for the Capcom Madcatz bundle when SF4 comes out. And then I won't be able to wait to read reviews to learn whether or not their arcade stick is worth the effort or not.

Yeah, I might also pick up those street fighter IV sticks. But they wont be release until SFIV comes out. I don't mind using the 360 or the PS3 controller, but there is a slight disadvantage. The shoulder buttons just aren't responsive enough. It's funny, I have a friend that can't play street fighter with any kind of arcade sticks because he just excute the move, but with the dumb pad, he's okay. How are the challengers over on the PS3 side of things? Still working on getting my 100th victory over xbox live Rank Matches, 46 more to go.

LOL, I felt the same way! It's just funny how slow it feels at first (like the AI can move much faster than you do). But then after a bit of practice, you'll start to find that you can't play any faster if you bump up the speed setting and go back to the default... because only at that default speed can you really think your way through combos and special moves. That or I'm just getting old... 1991 was so long ago.

IF I see you on xbox live SilverGT, I'll be sure to send you an game invite. 15$ is not that bad, considering that 15 years ago, if I remember correctly 64.99 for Street Fighter 2 Turbo for the SNES. Summer of 93, worked all summer to get that one game. Just one more achievement left for me in that game, need to win with every character in Online Ranked Matches. Got the 100 win on rank matches last week.

Yikes, that was when the USD/CAD exchange was at an all-time historical low... because I recall paying $89.99+tax for Super Street Fighter on SNES at my local Toys'R'Us. And we liked it!

Thanks for confirming the high price for me Ben-Ohki. The SNES when it first came out was 299 I believe. The games I remember cost a lot, usually 69.99, perhaps it was only high in the Bay Area. And these prices are at stores like Circuit City and The Good Guys. Usually stores like The Warehouse do we see higher prices. It wasn't until the end of the SNES life that games started to drop to the 49.99 range. Still remember games like Megaman X3 selling for 49.99 when it was new, but there was already a PS and a 3DO. We really had to thank Sony for keeping games at the 49.99/39.99 range. Kinda sucks not that we have to pay 59.99 price for new releases.

I'm weary, thanks to Madcatz's track record, with anything they make, there are other arcade style joysticks, already available that is not from MadCatz, that maybe more reliable.

very cool - I remember the first time I sw Long Vo's work - he submitted an awesome fanart of Metal Gear Solid to PSM. I just gotta ask however why he autographed those Street Fighter Remix issues (since his name doesn't appear on the credits on each cover)... did he at least do some interior work? Cuz those look like Omar Dogan's covers to me. (who is equally cool - met him at Fanexpo a couple of years back and he signed my issue of SF Legends: Sakura #1 and also signed a couple of prints which I now have framed in my living room above my PS3.
