I'm really not into gaming (except Windows Solitaire, LOL) ...but I just watched a dvd for the movie " Deep Space: Downfall" ...it's supposed to have a game coming out later this year. Yo, this animated movie is gore-festering SIIIIICK! zozo-Magengar It's Dead Space, mate. Yep, Dead Space : Extraction is coming out for the Wii and so far it looks great (by Wii standards). Like Downfall, it's a prequel to the first Dead Space. Not a direct adaptation, but the events in the game are supposed to happen during the same period, parallel to the animated feature's. This time it's an on-rail shooter instead of Resident Evil-like action-adventure. Some won't like the change, but I can't get enough of these. Mmmm... makes me feel like going for another House of the Dead Overkill marathon... ------ These days, I'm slowing slicing my way through X-Men Origins : Wolverine on the PC. Also, I've just discovered Out Run 2006 (also PC). I can't pinpoint what's so great about it... but it's just so adictive. Just got the PC version of Street Fighter IV. I already had it for the PS3, but for $20 on Steam last weekend I couldn't pass the chance of bumping up the resolution. The graphics filters look sweet too. I don't know if I'll keep my PS3 copy to have more online adversaries, or if I'll trade it off for something else. I thought about trading it for Resident Evil 5, but this one's also coming for the PC. Unless it's a total wreck of a port, I'd rather get this version.

Finished RE:5. The game is okay, but again, the elements I loved in the classics are seldom there, if not at all. Anywhoo, the action is great, and the graphics are awesome, even if I'm still using an SD Television set. I didn't like the AI for the assist though. Sheva was good in tight spots (she's got a hell of a sniper's eye), but gets in the way in most situations, especially if you're in a narrow corridor trying to get a shot off of your sniper rifle, or in the final boss fight with Wesker. I wish CapCom put more command options for the assist, kind of like when you have Dogmeat or Fawkes in Fallout 3. Anywhoo, good game, and lots of replay value. Haven't tried online yet though.

I've been playing QuakeLive - completely free and online!! www.quakelive.com/I suck and get fragged within seconds, but I'm slowly getting better. If we get enough people signed up, I think we can create private rooms for only us to play. Anyone else down for this?

Its awesome to play with buddies though sometimes you get guys that are uber powerful and you may not get much action. One thing i dont like is people joining and then dropping, it can reallly screw you over and it sets you back. the game itself is very much like re4 which was a huge departure from the normal franchise, but a much needed one if you ask me. sure this one is about as scary as a mouse with a baseball cap but what it lacks in scars it gains in tention! I didnt find my partner getting too much in the way, but they arent very helpful in boss fights thats for sure.

Last RE game I played was Code Veronica on the Dreamcast, and never got around to the games after it. Since mechamasterj mentionned it, you should give Resident Evil 4 a shot if you've liked the fifth one.

Oops, my error, yeah DEAD Space. Thanks for the correction. Ah, so now there's Dead Space: Extraction. Cool! I wonder if these two are-- or will be-- available for Xbox360? My guitarist has the Wolverine Origins game... ...it looks friggin Sick! I like the graphics and the artwork, too. Every time I go visit my buddy I zone out lookin at the graphics on his LCD when he's playin Wolverine. zozo-Magengar I'm really not into gaming (except Windows Solitaire, LOL) ...but I just watched a dvd for the movie " Deep Space: Downfall" ...it's supposed to have a game coming out later this year. The first Dead Space is already out on Xbox360, PS3 and PC. It would be surprising if Extraction made it to the 360. Outside of the Wii, developpers don't seem too hot for lightgun games this generation. I think the only current-gen non-Wii gun game is Time Crisis 4. Extraction will most likely stay a Wii exclusive. I wish I was wrong, though. I'd love to see that on PS3 with the Guncon3.
Dead Space 2 is also on the way. Supposingly, EA is already on board for a third one as well.
Wolverine is brutal, yeah. It strays a bit from the movie's storyline (which is not a bad thing at all), and is much more violent. A M-rated game for a PG-13 movie. I can see some parents buying it for their kids this christmas thinking it'll be ok since they could handle the movie. They're in for a surprise. Logan does not behead helicopter pilots by lifting them into the rotor in the movie. ;D

;D I hadn't seen the Movie yet. But yeah, I can see the parents now: gathering the church committees, old lady knitters, and folks with too much time on their hands, and forming a lynch mob to go after the gamemakers responsible for mis-rating the Wolverine game. ;D

Apparently... too violent for M-Rated! Speaking which, I just finished Wolverine tonight. I give the game design a thumbs up. But I give its actual implementation a thumbs down. There were just so many glitches throughout! Enemies getting stuck where they weren't supposed to. And the final boss, I accidentally knocked him out-of-bounds and he didn't automatically respawn anywhere on the play-field so I had to reload the match! Good thing this game had auto-saves everywhere. Next up will be Batman Arkham Asylum and/or Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2... Can't decide... hmm...

Finally started playing MGS4. Got to the part of the famous JOhnny Guy, you know, the one that is alway in the can doing his business, this time literally. It's just the beginning and I have a long way to go. I don't like the pace of this game though. Sneaking around and trying to be invisible, I am a big fan of the whole series but after playing a lot of COD4, I just can't stand this slow pace anymore. I am so use to run in and gunning down the enemies. The AI is still stupid in this one, as in the last 3 games. They will let you run up to them and slam them down before firing at you. But the MGS series has always been about the story/plot driven, and also the genious stuff that they put into the game. I will always remember the first one when they ask you to receive the codec code from the bottom of the CD case. I got stuck at this part for awhile, was using snake and running around all areas, searching for a CD case in the game before realizing that the code was on the actual Game CD case. The back of the game case had a picture of Meryl and the codec code. Then there was the famous fight with Psycho Mantis where you have to switch the controller from port 1 to port 2. There was a lot of clever thing in the first one. I hope they continue this trend as I discover them while playing the newest one.

Still waiting for Batman, no signs of it yet in my parts.
Just finished Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, great game, its like your playing in an action/comedy movie. Great production value. There's adventure, a great car or in this case jeep chase, gun fights, slug fest, and a final showdown. Short game but good replay value.

Sheva still sucks as an assist though. After all this time playing and getting the hang of it, I got killed (again) because she stood in front of Chris, and covered my line of sight. Got a chainsaw in the neck for it... b!tc#.... ;D

Batman Arkham Asylum devoured many, many, many, many hours of my life yesterday. Good stuff though, cracking good stuff.
... I should be receiving Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne as well as Digital Devil Saga I and II today or tomorrow ... I'm going to be drowning in SMT stuff soon.

Japan PSN has the new Ninja Gaiden Sigma II demo up. Just played through it tonight. Very challenging even on acolyte mode. Very awesome though. Check it out if you have a moment. I think US PSN will have the demo up next week, but why wait. English menu's and Selectable language options!

Nostalgia trip! I'm playing X-Com : UFO Defense (aka UFO : Enemy Unknown). I only wanted the first two (UFO Defense and Terror from the Deep, but at $5 for the whole collection I don't care if the rest is garbage, it's still a deal.
X-Com looks and sound outdated, but it's still as addictive as it was back when I first played it 15 years ago.
