I've been playing videogames all my life. I was one of those kids whose parents had to kick off the couch so he could go play outside to get some fresh air. Today, at 30, I'm still playing. Yet, everytime I see these two words together, it makes me sad...

Why? I meant gamers who play games and have a vested interest in that game, such as a RPG or Halo game to improve their characters. Not just pick up a Wii remote and pretend bowl in-between getting a beer :-)

PSP die in 2009? Maybe for the mainstream, but with so much homebrew and aftermarket possibilities, I think the PSP will be around way into 2010. Sony may just not be making it, that's all. lol

Sony may just not be making it, that's all. lol Agreed. I've had a first generation PSP for years now, and honestly it feels like it's already a dead console. IMO, most of the quality titles have been remakes, and I'm lucky to find two games a year worth buying. The existence of custom firmware has been the only thing that keeps me using the system. It seems to me that the greatest tragedy of this generation has been the lack of quality third party games. It's the same thing that plagued the GameCube last generation, and it's getting worse. Yes, there are still games like MGS4, Street Fighter 4 and the occasional Square-Enix title, but there really isn't that same freshness and innovation that could be found on consoles past. I spend much more time playing my DS than the PS3 and Wii combined, and almost all of those DS games are third party.
