I understand that this system is "dying"
But if you had one and hate RPGs, 1st & 3rd person shooters what games would you get that brings out the best in the system?

Either of the Wipeout racing games were excellent on PSP (in fact, Liverpool Studios was definitely onto something when they decided these were the two games they wanted to turn into HD).
Hmm... And Ridge Racers was a very cool version on PSP.
Let's see... well there's the Disgaea port which was excellent as well.
Oh, and of course Lumines (well, I have the first one, didn't try the second).

here's my favorite psp.
Loco Roco. Patapon (if you're good at rhythm games.. I'm litterallystuck on this damn game Gack! but its fun). Prinny is awesome if you like classic side scrolling games.
Megaman X (which is a remake of the original megman) Lumines is fun...
there's a downloadable R-Type which is a collection of the classic R-type game (I don't own it.. but I do want it).
Metal Slug 1-6 compilation! my favorite sprite game. t
these are only good if you want something portable Lego Starwars (but its cross platform...you might enjoy it on the ps3 or xbox 360, graphics are more polished. Lego Batman (same comments as SW)
Too bad you don't like RPG's Final Fantasy tactics is awesome.... I know its a port.. but man.. even though the game is old.. it still holds up

Lumines is an outstanding puzzle game, even if you don't normally like puzzle games. Lumines II is also a good time, incorporating music videos in some of the stages and more diverse themes across all the levels.
Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth is worth mentioning too, but it depends on what part of RPGs you don't like.

Thanks for the replies guys,
Just picked up Lumines II it was on sale for $10 looking forward to playing it.
Also pick up Prinny & Metal Slug I a big fan of the old school side-scroll format. They're great.
Metal Slug sure brings back memories of me wasting away quarters at my local convinience store just to see its ending.
Probably go for Star Wars Lego when I see it for a good price.
Thanks again!

Final Fantasy Dissidia will be coming out soon. I can get the Japanese copy of the game and play it right now but I am waiting for the translated US version. Then there is a new Kingdom Hearts game. Like Crisis Core, I will buy an original copy of this game when it comes out. Kinda like a Kingdom Hearts 1.5, story of the events that takes place in between Part 1 and 2. The Castlevania Chronicle game was also good. It's a remake of Castlevania Dracula X game. The great thing about this game is that the game Symphony of the Night can be unlocked in this game. Some gamers still consider Symphony of the Night, originally release on the Playstation and Sega Saturn system to be the best Castlevania game. You can also unlock the original 16 bit version of Dracula X. So, you get 3 games on one UMD. For only PSP gaming, the PSP isn't that great of a machine. But if you run emulators on it, it's the best portable system around. I have CPS1, CPS2, and MVS emulators on one of my memory sticks, and its great to carry around 35 to 40 arcade games. And these are the original arcade games, have to press the select button to insert coins. Also have hundreds of NES games, SNES games, Sega games, Genesis games, Original Playstation games and even GBA games, thousands of titles on one memory stick.
As for it dying, last year the PSP console did really well in terms of sells because of the Capcom game Monster Hunter 2. Also because the PSP was easily hackable. Then they rolled out the PSP 3000 version with the new unhackable CPU/Mobo, and weaker LCD screen, and I guess the sales dropped.

Just saw the macross game on ebay (import version) quite expensive @ $50USD
Also saw a Gundam game also @ $50USD
Quite pricey for a psp game...not use to paying that much for a game.
But yes I really want both of these.

I've been playing God of War for a week now, my reflexes are still not fast enough to get past Hades' Wife & Atlas plus I've now developed carpal tunnel.
Love the graphics though
Forgive my psp newbie ignorance but is Monster Hunter 1, & 2 RPG?

Dissidia Final Fantasy, should be coming out next month. I've played the Japanese version, and the graphics and gameplay is good, but I don't understand it. So I am waiting to play the US release. There is also a new Metal Gear Solid game coming out for the PSP, more story of Big Boss, and his clones.
