I wouldn't worry much about the head. Actually, it isn't as bad as I was thinking. Some other 3rd party will probably make a better one. The only thing that I am still kinda dislike is the overall colors or lack of colors, particularlly on the feet. Still, I like the battle station and the rest of the accessories. Stiill a no brainer purchase for me because it just fits in with the rest of my classics TF's.

Vang1us had posted the video review for FP Rodimus. Looks great.
I am still waiting to hear from BBTS that it is in stock and I will "ship my loot". I have this, Predaking and a ton of other stuff waiting for this to come in. I think I look forward to FP releases more than Takara and Hasbro.

Received email from bbts that they received the protector and sidearm today and I got charged. Now if I can get the shipping confirmation email, I will be happy because according to their chart, if they ship it out to me tomorrow, I will receive it before christmas.

I have about ten items that were waiting on this before I shipped. I was realy hoping to get these in for Christmas. I am also in the group that will get it if it ships tomorrow. Got a really nice surprise yesterday when I got home. The last two pieces of my crazydevy devastator parts came in directly from crazydevy. Its the leg extension and forearm parts. The only set I didn't get was the waist articulation part. But anyway, I am using a kotoys g1 replica for these crazydevy parts. But I must say it, the kotoys knockoff version of devastator really sucks, in that most of the individual constructicons can't really transform, unless you force it and the parts will break on you. I got the ko version because, it was cheaper and the joints are new, therefore tighter. Also thought it was kinda cool to have that old G1 packaging. While it works great with the add ons, it just kinda sucks now that most of the legs of each constructicon can barely or would not fold out.   Will be receiving my fansproject protector later today I hope. Christmas is gonna be a whole lot of fun this year. |

Happy and joyful today as I just received my fansproject protector set and sidearm target master. One of the youtube reviewer mentioned that he had an extra unused sidearm envelope. As it turns out, I guess everyone will get one because they packaged sidearm in a error print evelope. The packaging for sidearm still read tfx-03 city commander add on. The extra unused envelope had the correct printing.

hi by the way the extra wings on rodimus's back does it come with gold one for that as well i have the henkei version and if the extra parts that hook on are just yellow it is going to look alittle funny.

See the picture that I post with rodimus holding a crossbow like weapon. In that picture the gold plated stuff is on the trailer. I don't have a henkei version so there isn't much of a need to use the gold chrome wings, but I can still clip it onto the target master or onto the guardian roller. |

hi yeah i have both coming in the rodimus armor and the sidearm target master and i see from some other pics on a few sites that he does come with the extra chrome gold wings, i am curious how does he look without the rodimus head using only hotrods head? i like hot rods head better do you have any pictures?

sure, I can help you with that, Here is what he will look like with out the new head  here is what he will look like without the new head and extra wing attachment.  Does it work? I personally don't really like the original head all that much. It's okay but a bit too small, and with the extra armor, he his all bulked up which makes his head looks even smaller. Compared to a lot of other henkei or classic figure, Hot Rod already has a small head so this conversion doesn't work for me. But who am I to tell another person how to display or what a person likes. But how can you say no to this face? (The NEW Face)  |

Yeah, you can do that as they did it intentionally because with the Shadow Scythe, they will include other facial expressions for you to swap out. But I really don't care for doing it much because the only way you can actually see Hot Rod's face inside the new head is if you are looking at him from underneath. Most people will look directly at him and it will not be as noticeable or it will look like a neck, which the original figure lacked. This is definately one of those figures that looks weird from far away. The head looks really different when you are about a 2 feet away, ugly because the bottom of the chin scrap will look like the mouth, but when you look at it up close you will see the lips are above the chin strap. Just look at the shot that I took of him from far and the one that is up close, the head just look totally different.

thanks so very much for the quick pictures i will have to see it in person to see which one i like best , maybe some more definition around the eyes are needed, maybe if i use a light grey fine line gundam marker to draw around the eyes will make i look better or maybe even some Auroa Holo Green Stickers. i am waiting for this and the ROTF Bruticus set to come in i already have the fansproject figures to go with it. those are my christmas presents, it is a shame they will not get to me until after christmas  |

Not quite, only PX-03 to PX-06 are add ons for UM. SFX (Reflector) are stand alone figures, but like nost perfect effect figures, they might have another mode to be attached to other classics figures. But the first figure for SFX set does look pretty good and has a good amount of accessories.

I think SFX will likely have a third mode as a canon. If you look at the concept art the three figures that make up reflector (or just the prototype for "Viewfinder") all come with an excessive number of parts, some of which look like canon barrels (the lens looks very interesting).  Kinda disappointed in the size, I was hoping they'd start doing something bigger. Emerje |

Yeah, I posted some pictures of the protector in the previous page. This release just doesn't seems like it is getting a lot of love from RJ members. I knew of the free gift hand shake item but didn't photogragh it because I don't have a classics prime, although, I could of remove my city commander armor upgrade on my UM to use that piece. Only about a handful of members has stated that they are getting this set. a lot of people seem to be turn off by the head sculpt or by the pictures they have seen. The picture just doesn't do this figure justice because this figure, for whatever the reason, isn't photogenic or something.
Overall, I like the head sculpt more so that the city commanders, it is way more detailed. I have seen people pulled down the face to cover up the hot rod face inside, and I don't do this because I don't like seeing the extra parts above the eyes and just under the helmet when you use this configuration. The hot rod chin, when I do see it, looks like the adams apple of a neck to me, so I am not bothered by it at all.
As far as recommendation goes, people are entitled to their own opinion and I am not a convincing person. I always live by the motto, buy what you like and not what other tell you to. I like this, therefore I buy it and it has not dissappoint me.
