Can someone help the clueless (me) on when Optimus had a sword in the cartoon? I think it looks badass. Just trying to understand what/why these accessories are made.

Prime uses one in the new cartoon Transformers Prime. Im not certain about earlier cartoons.
I hates animated
Galaxy and all those shows that came after g1,g2 and beast wars.

Yeah G1 Prime didn't use one but Transformers Prime Optimus did, it's called the Starsaber after Starsaber who was also leader of the Autobots after Prime. Also there's a ton of G1 characters that use swords so it isn't unheard off. Watch this video and just imagine that's G1 Prime. |

Decided to try and get a Maketoys Green Giant but it seems I've waited to long. Anyplace that sells it still at $350?

I ordered mine at upgradecommander.com too : they had it before other shops. This shop is thrustable with good communication with strong customer service. They sold me a spare part (escavator piston) for my yellow Maketoys Buldozer. Handling is very good too. Anyway, this MT Green Giant is beautifull and packaging is kicking ! Very suitable with FP combiners (off scale with TFC/Mastermind and others...). EDIT : oooops, this green guy seems to be sold out...  |

Its on shapeways which means it was fan made, you will have to paint it to match the figure.

It does make the toy look better but I'm happy with my Genesis. I just wish they would hurry up and start releasing their Computron already.
