Man, most of my stuff is about 300 miles away right now, otherwise I'd love to take some photos. Next time I head home I'm going to have to grab a bunch of stuff to bring back.

I found a couple more. Here is the old Eva compared to the bandai movie realization Eva. There were lots of variations of the EVA figures even in the old line. These sculpts in normal colors, then clear versions and metallic versions. I think there was the 1st gen, which sculpts were not as good. And a closer shot of the VO figure.

Yes there were some first gen EVAs and they sucked. I am quite sure that they were not made by Kaiyodo........bandai maybe? I had one but have long since got rid of him after Kaiyodo entered the frey! Coldiron you dog!! you have a Muv Luv figure!! man i have been looking for those for like ever!! if your willing to sell i am willing to buy!!Also, eventhough the movie realization eva is so awesome, you cannot deny the character that is presented in the kaiyodo version!! It just has such presence! lol great idea using a scanner to take pictures!! whoda thunk it! @quin, I have been waiting for you to post pics!! are you on travel or something!! paladin!! never put those names in the same line!! kaiyodo figures blow all of mcfarlenes items out of the water as far as anime goes! sure mcfarlene makes some nice statues with like two points of useless articulation!! Kaiyodo made vastly articulated works of art and you could manipulate them to make even cooler poses unlike mcfarlenes sensless joints, most of them couldnt even stand if you tried to change their poses beyond moving a hand up or down. @mechalong! I certainly will take pictures. though i cant bring myself to take any off the shelves for fear of breaking them. Can you believe these figures ran 15 ~ 30 back in the day, heck you could pick them up at your local game store and even video stores had them in stock! So, even though they had weak joints, you didnt feel so bad if one broke, wasnt too hard to replace most of these in thier Hay day!

Its actually an exposure table for burning emulsion when I silk screen, but a scann might have interesting results as well. No way I am selling that Muv Luv, it took much pain to get it. I had to trade quite a few things and pay cash for it. I need to contact the guy who got it for me to say hi. He is a nice guy, but I can not find his email.
I see them on ebay every now and then. Just type A3. I was hoping volks would extend that line to include FSS figures.

Loving everyone's photos . It's making me miss my Virtual-On figures. Not so much my old Evas, though @mmj: Nah, just living away from my old home, where most of my old figures are I've got a couple of pre-revo Kaiyodo figs around here, though... I should take some new photos. In the meantime- old photos (gotta contribute something)! The excellent (but finicky, with that gun on his back) Gazelle: Gunbuster! I love this rendition of the figure. It's so dynamic and much more stable than the Revo Dix-Neuf.

There were lots of variations of the EVA figures even in the old line. These sculpts in normal colors, then clear versions and metallic versions. Yeah, I've got the metallic 02, normal 03 (which had no variants), 04 (which was only available metallic), and the "Giant of Light" glow-in-the-dark 01 from the original figures. The 01 mold is actually missing the arm joint and Kaiyodo unfortunately never went back to put it in for the other versions. Just remembered that they also made figures of Rei and Asuka, but with replacement arms instead of joints. You're probably thinking of the " Real Model" versions from Sega Toys which stood perfectly upright and had their lockdown braces. There was also a cheap 3 3/4 line, but I don't think they were from Sega. Just remembered another Eva Kaiyodo figure I've got, the Hard Core Mode statue figure! He only had articulation in the shoulders and wrists, but he had a surprising amount of diecast! Truly an Eva design like none other. Also just remembered I have the Kaiyodo Galaxy Fraulein Yuna figure which is kinda old now. I remember spending a lot of time hunting it down (I think I got her in 2000), but sadly mine yellowed quite a bit and paint on her face degraded quite a bit, and one of her hands snapped off. I'll have to try to refurbish her some time, she doesn't seem to show up on ebay often any more. Emerje

KT Rumble KT Prime Bust KT Revy w/ Revoltech KT DOA figures I was loving KT figures, and while I was getting into them, a line called revoltech was announced.

Totally forgot about the Kaiyodo-Takara collaboration, never did get around to picking those Transformers figures up... Also forgot the mini Evas were from Kaiyodo. I've got the "02" Unit 01 and "04" Sachiel, I used to have them displayed together with the spike going through 01's head. The reason why I keep forgetting about these is because they've all been sitting in boxes since I moved in December waiting for me to get around to putting up new shelves... Emerje

I saw quite a few full boxed sets of the KT TF series in Malaysia. I thought they sold out long ago. I already had the ones I wanted though.

I remember those busts being highly thought after for a while too. It's a shame the Kaiyodo Vash figure didn't have a sculpt like those, instead we get the stupid semi-slicked back hair that doesn't look anything like Vash, more like bad cosplay. Plus they pulled that crap with the sunglasses head being a rare variant and a total lack of leg articulation (couldn't even be bothered to sculpt anything under his coat). Kinda sad that it took McFarlane to give us a nicely sculpted Vash (not so great articulation, though). Emerje

Awesome collection, MMJ. I like the "barely controlled chaos" look I always wanted but never managed to get (before they disappeared from the online shops) a Cypher and Specineff. Fortunately, Kotobukiya is making a kit of Specineff which I'll probably have to pick up...
