Got mine a while ago and the clear double ball joint conecting the "Hair" to the head snaped in half in package. Very sad, waiting on the die-cast Drossel for display.

Sure. I want to build a little lightbox during the holidays. I'll test it out with that Drossel, and others.

Drossel's wrist snapped yesterday I was thinking of using the smallest revoltech joint possible to replace it. Might just do it for all the joints. I was worried about the shoulders and its the wrist that breaks.

Still waiting for my Winter Drossel, but I just saw those pics at Angolz : Compare these with the CGI renders posted earlier : The bittersweet news is that while her left leg and backpack are plain red plastic out of the box, the figure comes with a sheet of stickers to add the snowflakes patterns. I was hoping it would be painted on, but no, it's not. Stickers. Still better than a plain red plastic block, I guess. But the first Drossel looked so good with its pre-applied patterns, I don't think it was unrealistic to hope for the same level of quality on this one. It's not catastrophic, but still, it's kind of a let-down. But my big disappointment with this figure comes from the hat and neck gaiter. I know the first pics were only CGI renders, meaning to show what Drossel looks like on the DVD, that the final figure might not be %100 like this. But seeing that fluffy hat, I expected that figure's to be made from an equally fluffy material. Instead, it looks like we're getting chucks of textured white plastic. I'm no toy engineer, but covering that hat in synthetic fur doesn't sound like an out-of-this-word unrealistic option to me. I might just customize mine with a little fluffy hat myself, depending on how good or bad it looks "in person". Maybe it's just not photogenic. I don't even know for sure if it's plastic or not. That's just what I see in those pictures. I'll know for sure when I get it. It shouldn't be long now. PS: Pics of the snowflakes stickers from the japanese Disney Channel website.

... I knew there was something wrong with these last pics. The snowflake stickers are significantly smaller than those on the CGI designs. Why? Why did they do that? How hard would have it been to make them larger? I'm really thinking of ditching those stickers altogether and painting the patterns myself, at the original CGI design size. With a homemade stencil, it shouldn't be that hard.

I finally got my Winter Drossel. Not really worth twice the price of the original, but it's nice. Though it's not really fair to say it's twice as expensive, since you're also getting a DVD.
Speaking of that DVD, I didn't even know what it was. I thought I could be a Fireball Christmas / winter special, but no, it's the regular DVD of the series. If I had done some research, I would have known this already, but I wasn't buying this for the DVD.
AmiAmi is selling the bundle for ~$50. (Back in stock as I'm writing these lines.) Considering the original Figma Drossel sold for a little more than $30, $20 for a genuine japanese DVD isn't that bad. (The DVD is shrink-wrapped inside the outer cardboard box, so you could always try reselling it on eBay if you really don't want it.)
Sorry, I don't have the time to write a genuine review or take pictures. I'll try to do that later this weekend if I have some time off.
