Is the base going to be a separate purchase like the Big O parts or is it going to be more like Reideen where it will be GX-50 & GX-50s. I like the base even though I don't have much room for it. I said the same thing when I bought Reideen though too. I preordered through BBTS and then they jacked the price up even though I ordered it at a lower price. I'm not too happy about that.

Is the base going to be a separate purchase like the Big O parts or is it going to be more like Reideen where it will be GX-50 & GX-50s. Neither. If you buy GX-50 you'll get a coupon that will allow you to mail away and buy the base, which is even worse than the Big-O parts because it means that people will only be able to buy ONE set for every GX-50 they buy, and it'll likely be Japan only, making it an aftermarket nightmare. 18,690 yen base cost, too. Expect to pay 100-150% markup due to the above mail-away exclusivity before shipping, making it about $400-500. Ufff! Its a good thing I'm not that big of a Combattler fan, because that much $$$ is insane! However, I would truly be screwed if it would've been the Photoatomic Institute instead...!

Thank God I'm passing on GX-50. Additional aftermarket purchase on the base?! Ummm, no. C'mon Bandai, throw the markets OUTSIDE of Japan a bone.

Guess the lack of weapons with Big O had nothing to do with his popularity .

I thought I can finally get an affordable base for my Combattler V at an affordable price.... But it seems everything down to the drain with my plans....

Personally, I don't mind at all that base is sold seperately. These toys can be expensive enough, I don't want to pay more money for a prop that isn't actually a part of the robot.
Similarly, wasn't the Voltes V Big Falcon produced by another company entirely?

I really hope the aftermarket company will produce a Combattler V base for under $100. That Big Falcon was really cool. I love it. I got it for like $50.

The original was a fanmade scratchbuild that was probably sheet styrene & epoxy. It couldn't have been more than $50 to build.

my SOC voltes V is so jealous! :-) I wish they will do a remold of GX-31! not the GX-31V-- it is the same mold as gx-31-- I want a brand new and improved mold--just how they did a re mold of some sort for this Combattler GX-50 :-)
