LOL i was searching ebay for random megaman stuff and noticed a super surge in the prices of the old bandai kits! some going as high as 350 i wonder if the recent auctions for the alter sai and dimension diver kits made people think they could charge more for those old kits!! hilarious actually

It been high even before the wonderfest kits got release. I know because I have most of these and check them from time to time to see what I can get if I do want to sell. The only one I really want is the Ride Armor, very big box, I remember seeing that one back in 1997 when it first came out at 100$. I am glad that I got the Vile add on kit, and the X and Zero upgrade clear armor kit. Those upgrade came in clear plastic bags with what the figure will looks like printed on the bag, instead of putting it in a box. Only difference is that it doesn't come with the body, but the body is universal, the difference between Vile or Bit from X and Zero is the armor you snap onto the body. Unlike the Megaman 8 kits that were release around the same time, more different body shapes, and they are a little harder to find now. I only have the Rush and Duo from that set. But these kits were reissue a couple of years back. Originals have the made in japan 1997-1998 copy right. Then they release a second batch made in china with a choking hazard warning in front of the box. Then they totally redid the box and have pictures from various MMX game on the cover, instead of the old half toy half blue print design picture cover.

Well good to know, the high price suggests high demand, youd think capcom would put more effort into the line. Not sure why i never picked up the kits when i was younger though, as i always been a megaman fan. but the kits dont do it for me anymore, not after megman zero anyway lol.
I pray that with kaiyodo at least having license to make SF characters they maybe they venture into other capcom territory like megaman... especially with how well the kits did it may spark some interest from good ole yamaguchi! though they should higher the harvest dude to make the sculpts.

Well it's okay, you might as well guess it but I was the one that got the Atelier Sai Zero from THK's recent ebay listing. It's gonna disappoint you because it's smallI didn't realize this but its kinda like a SD figure, cause the head is big, after looking at his pictures and then looking at the kit, the head is a third of the size of the entire figure. Looked at the manual and it doesn't seem at all like a hard build. Seems like the only parts that need drilling is the areas that need the 1mm brass rods. I have a pin vase drill so that is not hard to do. The only thing that is going to be hard is painting the eyes. I am thinking, that this will be around the same size as those small Simple change Resin figures from Studio Half Eye. Roughly 4 to 4 1/2 inches tall, and having 3 of them, it will be nice to place them together. I have the Simple change Getter 1 V2, God Gravion, and recently just got the Dann of Thurday from HLJ. You guys should of jumped on that one because it was immediately sold out after HLJ had a second shipment recently on that one.

Yeah I got the ship notice too, and Adiru, thanks for recommending the Sota brand Ken Master statue. It's huge. I was hoping that it was in scale with the other Street Fighter RESIN statue that I have but this one is like 1/6 scale or something. The others that I have are in the 1/8 scale. Back to that Dann of Thursday SHE simple change, I should of picked up the black version too, since it wasn't that expensive. TBH, I think the black version looks much better, but I am a sucker for original color schemes.

Well got my AS kits in, and they are a much better cast then the HW kits plus bigger by almost two inches! Also has less parts then HW but they do cost more anyway. It will need drilling still aside from where the 1mm brass rods go as the other holes are just starter ones. And you need to buy the joints spererately and the manual doesnt do a good job of telling you exactly what you need. BTW I bought the wrong ones for zero so that sucks! i am excited for these because they are bigger and hell they are Zero and more like the normal artwork. Still i like HWs iteration better but, i can tell you one thing, they are a lot harder to build as my two friends are having a hell of a time building them. Apparently the casting wasnt the best on them, the joints it comes with are loose, and some of them are recasted and are just too weak if you intend on posing the guy multiple times... but yeah this is great!! i just need to get the right joints! lol

Yes, as I stated these are about 2 inches more so where HW kits were 3~4", AS are 5~6".
I assume since Alter Sai is a well known company and kit/toy maker they would have access to better material and better machinery for reproducing the parts. From what I understand, HW is a one man team and who knows what he had to do to get these mass produced. Anyway, so yea they qaulity is much better with these, they also seem that they will be easier to build.
lol Mechaleleng, you got that right!! at this point wouldnt mind getting the other custom kits that were floating around at WF!
Also, dont worry, I have all four HW kits being worked on as we speak and will have someone working on the AS kits by this week. Man I am super excited. But the HW seem to be a lot more trikier then meets the eye. My friends have ran into some snags with the figures and had to get replacement joints since some of the joints are of poor qaulity. Its amazing how much extra work was needed when you think something is pretty much complete. Oh well.... I am super happy I got them. I wonder if getterv got anywhere whit his AS kit?

Not my favorite iteration of megaman but a very nice figure. I assume this one was bought completed? Do you know who made it and what is its aproximate size and any other information you can give would be awesome.
congrats on your find, I know how it is to get that long sought after figure (heh you help me get mine). Hopefully you got instant satisfaction unlike me who still has to wait to get his kits built lol.

well actually this figure is like 9 years old now and it is about 10-11 cm.. there were trading figures about 5 actually and each give u a special part of the megaman volnutt like one gives you the a leg and the other give u the arm and so on and you have to collect all of them to get the fully articulated figure you see, so even though its pre-painted its a hassle to get.. and ya Im pretty satisfied with this figure because to me it's my favorite megamans and always wanted a decent figure of him.. Im not so sure on who made it since even when I got it I got it without a box it was in a plastic bag but in the bottom of the figure feet it says capcom only

hmm possible that capcom produced these?? well they do stamp thier name on just about anything doing with thier characters except for the custom made kits. But damn, capcom just has to know how popular megaman is i mean come on over 30yrs!! and the only some what widely availble figures are of thier last two series, Starforce and battle network!!! man its just so frustrating. I hope that if there is another ZX game they will come to thier senses if not before. For now i will do with what i have...... but still wanting more lol
