Just got the new damashii Exia and it is excellent! Super tight joints, excellent detailing, and very poseable. Has anyone else gotten this figure? I want to know if mine being this good is a fluke or par for the course.

From what I heard, super tight joints are the norm...

Hi, I have a few questions. About all these Damashii 00Gundams, do they all share the same shoulder + waist ball joints? I'm just thinking of the cutomizing possibility.
The Exia R2 parts, where do I get them? In fact, which Exia should I really go for?? I'm not planning to get any PG or high-skilled set..
I appreciate your help!

The gundams, to my knowledge, do not share all the same joints. If you want R2 parts, they must be purchased from here: p-bandai.jp/tamashiiwebshoutenYou may have to(depending on your location) use an intermediary service. I recommend Treasure-Japan. treasure-japan.com

Yeah not all RD are created equally! there isnt a whole lot of differences between either versions but the R2 comes with the GN sword II, but will cost you much more to aquire due to its online exclusivity. Now if you just the best exia out there, you should look into the Super HCM-Pro Exia! its the best version (action figure wise) out there....... will cost as much as getting normal RD exia with R2 parts, but SHCM version is built far better!

Woah thx guys for clearing things up for me! www.fg-site.netI once saw a combo with seravee bottom and 00's top, with the raiser wings, and with hlj's tempting price I was contemplating on making this into reality by swaping the two's parts. If their waist ball socket is not the same....... I very much hated the fact about the exclusivity modify parts - not to even mention about the upcoming 7 swords not being a HG....... I've never been such a big Gundam fan until now haha, and now all these is giving me an headache.. I read great reviews 'bout the shcmpro, but I need my gundams to be more or less within the same scale.. I'll keep an eye on the shcmp Exia though. You know there's reviews on youtube as well?

Haven't try it out myself, but it as simple as switch bodies. If all the ball joint are the same through the robot damashii figures then modding them should be just the same. And I love Seravee.

While I don't want to hinder your creative process, that looks like a couple of HG kits, not Robot Spirits toys.

Hmm it does look kinda sweet, but i think its mainly the pose that makes it so appealing right now. I think it would look a lil awkward otherwise.
And yeah, those are HG kits, but actually thats a good thing because they are cheaper and the parts are definitely more compabitlbe. Unless you dont like snapping kits together....... i dont think this would be nearly as possible (definitely not easy) with RD figures though. Plus, HG kits are bigger!
BTW there is a seven sword option grage kit in the works but its nearly thrice the price of gundam00 + 0 raiser HG kit. Unless you get a recast, then again, you definitely will need some intermediate modeling skills for it

Great observation, I agree that the bottom will make the whole thing a bit misproportionated.. The universal PC parts do offer great help when customizing, isn't it? I thought that the S 7 kit is only compatible with the 1/100; .. if only Bandai is planning on a S 7 upgrade for the HG.. I'll stick with the HG for now, Haha.
