Nice work!
The small head seems to be typical of the Getter revoltechs, so it looks just about right to me.

Yep, that would have to be where the head came from... the Jet Scrander on its back also came from the same Bandai model. I have both kits (that one, and the larger Mechacolle)...
Whenever I see customs like this and others, I get into this urge to wanna buy as many spare Mazinger Bandai model kits as I can afford, just so I can customize my own Mazingers. I still have my Mechacolle Mazinger kit sealed and untouched by human hands. ;D

I'm just reviewing this thread so I can see and learn how you made this revoltech custom Mazinger. It looks really Awesome, and now that I have a Getter1(OAV version) revoltech I think I'd like to try my hand at making a custom revo Mazinger, too. ;D What puzzles me here is the head, which we kinda figured out by now. I'm more puzzled about how you made the chest, from a Getter to a Maz... it looks like you sanded away the Getter's chest cockpit lump and twin green chestplates to get it smooth so that the Mazinger chestplates can attach to the chest later on. Genius. Pure Genius. I also see why this Maz custom revo looks so hot... ...the shoulders and the panel-lines, and the body proportions, all contribute to such an awesome custom revo Mazinger figure.

Yo mag, The torso was made by cutting and sanding the Getter. Then I added some 2 part epoxy putty where needed. Then sanded it again. I did the same thing for the head. Using the Getter head, I cut and sanded it. I used a spare Gundam rocket booster to for the crown. Some plastic for the mouth and nose. Easy enough, no?

Wow, Thanks for the info. I'll bet the head took a lot of work, but it sure looks awesome and the detail is right on the mark. Your work is so inspiring, I hope to see you make more custom figures from old revoltechs. Luv it luv it luv it! zozo-Magengar
