I'm sort of interested to see more. As you may know this ain't Bandai's first trip to the DBZ model rodeo! Remember these? - www.toyeast.com/v3gb/pdtdetail.asp?pdt_id=TBA43005Later taken over by Irwin Toy.... Might have to look for one to build up just for S's&G's!

Ok the 5 piece gattai sd gundam is awesome looking and those goku figures are amazing They do look awesome and it was only a matter of time, too. All of those Sgt. Frog mecha kits that Bandai has been releasing over the years (probably including that new Sea King kit) combine into larger robots as well. The Goku kit is pretty impressive, though the number of exposed joints are a bit much (jointed muscles!?). I'll need to see one that's been built and left unpainted before I'm totally sold on him. (Incidentally I've got a bunch of the kits that Irwin released: Goku, Vegita, Piccolo, Trunks, and teen Gohan. They're neat, but the rubber pants are very restrictive.) The SH-FA SSJ Goku looks great, but have the shown a non SSJ version yet? I'd kinda rather have one of those first. Emerje

1/8 scale is around 7" so it won't be a little figure. Now that I see these are going to be prepainted and loaded with colored pieces I think I'm going to have to get one. The scale, quality, and price all work for me. Emerje

Little bit more exited for this seeing add'l up close pics... www.1999.co.jp/eng/10100267Not sure how I feel about all the 'engineering'/mechanics on the arms/biceps, but should still be cool.

Just noticed he's actually 22cm tall, that's 8.7 inches! That's quite large so I'm happy. I wonder if you could stick those flesh colored medical finger cots ("condoms" used for finger cuts and burns and touching delicate things) over the arms to hide the joints...

lol condums on model kits... well worth a shot but would be hard to paint if you ask me. The joints arent a deal breaker for me
