Does anyone else get the transformer Collection series from Takara? Number 10 Soundwave arrived today and I'm really pleased with him. I'd not played with a Soundwave since i was about 8 and my best friend at the time had one. My only real memory of him was that he was cool and I'd always been jealous of my mate for having one (along with Optimus Prime... And a Tie Fighter... Not that I have some complex about it . So much as Soundwave is kind of dull for transforming from a brick shape to a pretty ordinary robot shape, he's also very cool for looking like a cassette player, having transformer cassettes and having his batteries become his weapons. If I had any complaint with the set it's that Ravage wasn't picked as the cassette. Now all I'm really waiting for is a Grimlock as he's had him, but sold him off cheaply when I hit my teenage years and suddenly had more important uses for money. For now I'm content to tick off another of my childhood want list.

Don't know about the original, but there's a small amount of diecast in the reissue. Soundwave's feet and the pins used for his hip and shoulder joints are diecast. I think that's as far as it goes though.

hard as it to believe I think I'm going to pass on soundwave until I get Binal tech smokes screeen and Masterpiece prime. I have a suspicion that soundwave might sneak in as a binal tech.
