I never owned or even touched a Predaking before. He looks visually impressive as predaking. However separating him into his 5 robots or animal forms doesnt look as appealing to me. His orangeness doesnt look cool when he is separated.
I know that most transformers gestaults would not survive being bought if they couldn't combine. But yet he has the allure of looking big and badass when he is Predaking. I think his main appeal is the fact that he is one huge behemoth of a toy, compared to other gestaults.
I think out of the transformers gestaults I prefer Predaking, even over Devastator. I own a G2 version of Devastator. He always stays as Devastor. I find the constructicons appealing ,First in Devastor mode than vehicle and least when in mini robot mode. When the are in their robot mode, its hard to believe they rival the Dinobots.

I'm not a big Predaking fan. I think he's tremendously overrated. My friends had most of the Predacons when I was younger. They seemed lousy, badly colored, and useless in both modes. As a combiner, his size is impressive, but he looks very clumsy. I'd prefer Devastator any day. I agree some of the Constructicons looked weak in robot mode but, come on, Bone Crusher rules!

One of the big pluses about Predaking is that it is BIG. Due to size and diecast (in a relative few) I understand it's rank.
Devastator had too many add ons for my taste. Then again I just loved the vehicle modes and robots. (a compromise) Oh, and it is a MUCH older design coming from the Diaclone lines (extra kudos due to age).

i like computron much better, cos when u take the technobots apart they look cool by themselfs.
Predadking is very nice but i think the toys have been over priced just a bit
