To tell you the truth, in the anime the green one sort of sucked. They replaced the rifle with little antenna-like cannons on the Tekkaman SOL's upper back, and it just looked pretty lame during its attacks. I'm not gonna say I will not get it, but I will say that paying for it will not feel very good... }D

Why can they not be a bit consistent? The removable armour was a pain in the butt sometimes, but isn't that the whole point? Armor, plus? How are these latest releases different to SH Figuarts? Just when you start a collection they mess it up..

Just when you start a collection they mess it up.. I agree with you that consistency is important, but in this case I think non-removable armor is an improvement. For tekkaman what is the likelyhood of removing his armor and displaying him naked? I'd rather have a nice solid figure from the start.

But it's not metal is it? Just ABS? So you would have 4 figures that are heavy (normal and blasters) and another 4 that are really light in comparison (rapier, aki, the solars). The only thing that annoyed me with the real Armor Plus - if i may call them so - is that i cannot put them back in the box safely with the armour on. Otherwise despite articulations shortcomings i liked the heftiness.

The Sol tekkaman we don't know yet how much metal they have. The metal is not a bad thing at all, like I said having a figure without all the removable armor be it metal or plastic is something I'd prefer.

Yeah but the added cost isn't when they are basically Sh figuarts now. At least sol will be huge in comparison

Got my SOL Tekkaman (Blue) yesterday. Just like the Tekkaman Rapier, its armor already on. Nothing to put together other than the booster pack and weapons. However, I was surprised of how light it felt! So much that I doubt there is any metal anywhere! Still, it looks great! I'll post some pics tomorrow... time to go to bed now. }D

On mine the top knee ratchets are rather weak and so is the right shoulder. However, this guy looks SHARP. I love the pull out neck joint and shoulder joints to provide more range of motion. Also is it weird that if you point the feet downward the figure has perfect balance? With all of that being said I think I might have to get the green one now.

I much prefer non-removable armor. The skeletal system on these seems the same as the removable armor Saint Seiya cloth figures, and I really wish that armor wasn't removable either. The Wyvern figure looks fine, but the armor isn't all that firm and the joints aren't strong enough to support the armor unless it's perfectly balanced. The most expensive of those Seiya figures is 5000 yen, so basically these Tekkaman figures are being overcharged to us by roughly 8000 yen. Lame.

Want to ask is it worth to buy armor plus tekkaman blaster for USD160. is the armor plus better than figma tekkaman in term of detail?
Thanks

^ Is that piece MISB? Even if it's not sealed $160 isn't a bad price and the armor plus much larger than the figma and the blaster tekkaman isn't going to be reissued anytime soon or so it seems.

Well, the Tekkaman Blastor and the regular Tekkaman are different anyway, so I would say go for it. }D
