can I ask you a question... can you weight it? if it is possible

unfortunately I don't have a scale that can weight the figure. I'll try to compare it in terms of weight with GX-46 and Danguard tonight.

Okay. I think Danguard is the heaviest of the three, but it's hard to judge whether GX-46 or Patlabor is heavier, just because of its vastly different shape. Some quick comparison shots:

If you're dead set on having all three then I'd get the plated Danguard Ace first. It's a limited reissue of something that's already limited to begin with. It might even be accidentally located stock. BBTS.com has it for a killer price & who knows if it'll ever be found for that price again. The other two choices'll be around at retail prices or lower for months or even years. But personally, even though I have the plated DA, my favorite is the 1/24 Ingram & I don't even have it yet! I've seen enough reviews from good sources to know that that thing is absolutely killer. But then again I'm in the middle of a Patlabor Frenzy. I just got the CM's 1&3 TV version & it is such a gem! I've watched a few episodes of Patlabor raw on Youtube. Fun stuff. The Dygenguar SOC is third place for me. I dunno but to me the appeal of that design has always been it's exotic looks & I just don't think the SOC captures that as well as the Kotubukiya model. Gimmick-wise yes, but not aesthetically. I might feel different if I owned it though. It's in no danger of selling out any time soon, so you can take your time acquiring it. So to sum up----despite my enthusiasm for the Ingram, I'd get the limited Danguard Ace first. Edit: Okay, after seeing that really good shot of all three by Locidm, I realize the Dygenguar is better looking than I thought. ;D But still, if you like all three----go for the one which'll disappear first---the DA plated version.

weight? weight?! Okay, now I've seen it all...
If your deciding factor is the weight of a figure, the Dai Gokin Grendizer cannot be beat at over 4 kg.

Locidm ... thank you for the pictures and the time you had to put to take them .... your pictures plus the openion of every one responded sealed the deal for me.... but your picture make me knows that I am going to gather all three one day!! THe mazingerz... well the weight is not the deciding factor .... but just I mentioned before I am trying to find excuses or a choosing system ... but really never worked ... but since we are talking gokin weight dose kinda matter!! especially after the way bandai treated some of their gokins (fist mazinger and Big O + reideen...) ah I hate this .... I trayed many times to illuminate my collecting hobby to one or two toy line ... but then out of no where a figure comes out of no where and changes my passion and unleases the gokin lust monster in me!!

Well locidm, I hope your happy with yourself, I just pulled the trigger on Danguard Ace (metallic version) .... All this talk and "justification" got me re-thinking. Apparently its 2lb worth of die-cast ! ! ! I really need to stay away from this site LoL ...not good for my wallet. My decision though was between Big O & Danguard Ace. I still don't know though if it were between GX-46 & DA...GX-46 is just so stylistically appalling to me, I love that samurai/knight mecha design Before this thread I was bent on getting Big O but I just figure, if Yamato can give us THIS much die cast AND accessories & gimmicks AND limited run for about $200 shipped... Why the heck would I stay loyal to Bandai's SOC and purchase an almost all plastic Big O...I mean I like Big O and all but......lately I've felt like Bandai's been raping us with all these sub-par releases, ridiculous prices, mostly plastic constructed so called "chogokin" releases. Did I mention that Danguard Ace was also a whooping 11" inches tall? .......SOLD...SOLD ...SOLD ;D ;D ;D Probably pick up Groizer as well....

Good for you. I had the biggest debate between the normal and plated version of the DA too. If BBTS hadn't taken so damn long to get it I probably would have gotten the plated, but then when I saw angolz had the normal for $135 I couldn't wait any longer. No regret though I really love my DA.
As for the Big O, it's actually a really nice figure. Yes the legs should have been diecast but it being plastic actually allow me to mess with it without as much caution, afterall it is a toy. Other than the legs, Big O is diecast from the thighs up to above the elbows, so it has a pretty good heft. i got it when it was released for around $135 shipped, not too bad. The extra parts is ridiculously priced though, at least for us in N. America.
