Keep in mind that the "typical" Revoltech boxes are much larger than they used to be, which is a pity because their nice compact size was always a boon. The standard seems to be gravitating more towards the "deluxe" sized packaging first seen on the ARX-8 Lavatenn, although I don't think we've seen Grendizer's packaging yet to be sure. One thing to remember though is that Amiami adds 700 yen to the shipping price of ANY SAL order, so if it's something on the borderline, it might not end up being worth it. According to HLJ, the ARX-8's box is 21.9cm x 21.6cm x 6.8cm. Put three of those back-to-back and you have a near-cube of ~22x22x21cm. Small enough to fit into a 30cm-wide cubic box with sufficient padding. And there is no way it would be to heavy for SAL. I agree though that EMS at %50 off would be a better alternative anyway. But I'm convinced that, on paper, three Grendizer Revoltechs could fit within SAL limits. If AmiAmi won't do it, it will more likely be because they don't have the appropriate box. But Goldorak, if for some reason (customs and taxes, maybe, I don't know and it's really none of my business) you wish to go with SAL anyway, I'd ask AmiAmi directly instead of taking anyone's speculations for facts (including mine). Like I said, anybody is welcome to try... just make sure you are ready to pay for EMS. After all, the final decision on how to ship the package still remains with Amiami, and there's nothing anyone can do about it. }D

Difference is that Anime-Export DOES offer SAL as a shipping option to the buyer, just like HLJ. Amiami does not offer such a thing yet, only EMS. You have to request "Registered SAL shipping if possible" in the comments box when you place an order. It does not guarantee you that they will ship it Registered SAL. You will find out how they are shipping your stuff when the billing e-mail arrives... }D

Mine's coming EMS - don't really know the difference between that and SAL.

SAL usually takes longer, as items are only shipped when space is available on the plane. EMS goes through regardless. The major difference, at least for customers in Europe, is that with EMS parcels you usually end up having to pay import taxes (and, depending on the carrier, a hefty handling tax). SAL parcels on the other hand frequently go through customs unnoticed.

huh. Well I've ordered a few items over the past year, and hadn't really even paid any attention. Just faound a good balance of delivery time vs. price. To my knowledge, I've never had to pay any extra taxes. I didn't on grendy, and shipping for him was $15 (+1/2 off from Amiami \o/).
