I hearing rumors which i am helping to spread! Is he in the works or being discuss or is just some of our never to be a reality dream? The 1/24 scale would not be problem. i would pay $200 for a MPM! if done like MPOP and maybe come with energy wepons for him and prime to battle with.
I always wanted megatron, but my mother would not let me get one because she said guns would make me grow up and want to use them to kill people. Now i am in Iraq. Kind of poetic irony huh!!?

If it will happen (and I aslo wish it does), it may just be a Takara version only. I doubt if Hasbro will bring it to Northern America with all those Child Safety Laws, unless they set it for adult collectors only.

most likely, Megs will never show up here at all. Lots of other folks that I have talked to, would even go for a MP scaled megs that doesnt transform, and included a small version of the gun like with Prime for his "alt" mode. Only problem is, the gun would be huge considering the size of Prime. I personally hope they do make him in some way......

Yeah, the two major problems holding Megs back are:
1. A more believable gun isn't going to make parents happy, regardless of the country, and
2. Masterpiece is obsessed with realistically emulating the appearance in the cartoon. It would be difficult to make a cartoon accurate Megatron become a gun, and absolutely impossible to make him shrink down to hand-held size.
I'm still convinced that, if Hasbro/Takara ever intends to do more masterpieces, that they'll need to start with Prime's trailer. There's an overwhelming desire for it.

An anime accurate Megs would be great! But to match him with Prime's truck, I'd want him converted to a TANK!!!!

It is highly possible that MP Megs will indeed be made...the War Within Version in particular. Following the conceptual sketches done by Don Figuroa on MP Prime ( see the Japanese instruction sheet) whose designs are always mechanically sound, engineering practical transformable figures. It will be a no brainer for Takara or Hasbro to simply apply again his designs for Megatrons' Destron Tank than go all thru the hassles of building a Walther P 38. He did it for Optimus so why can't he do it for Megs ( Don F I mean)

Steve, is THIS the Destron Tank you're referring to? Looks nice, but could use a more anime correct robot mode, and a less than "kiddie" camo-scheme. |

Omni I beg to differ, the Destron tank I am referring to is the tank Shaxper mentioned....the one from War Within.
