Damn, that vendor is almost right smack in my neighborhood (about 40min. drive north-east from me, Saratoga Springs). I sent him a greetings on RJ's behalf... perhaps he'd like to join the fun here.
Now back to this topic... This is the first time I see an ebay auction closing out with NO bids what-so-ever. As for the specimen itself, I don't know what it is-- perhaps it's a vintage Diaclone, it looks like a jetfighter transformer of some kind.
The vendor has other known Bandai specimens up for auction as well.

It's the old hi-metal L-Gaim.

Yep. Hi Metal L-Gaim. 1/100? Same as the Elint, Strike and Super Ostrich Valks. Circa 1984. We haven't thrown up a datafile on TBDX.com on them yet. Eventually though.

i actually like the L'Gaim. besides the easily broken parts this is easily one of the most posable of the early 80's chogokin. there wasn't very many toys with the amount of articulation that this one has. the paint scheme is pretty boring but i think this guy has been long underated.

I don't think he's talking about the hi-metal L'Gaim in general, I think he's talking about that specific L'Gaim listed on ebay, which he's right. That thing is a piece of sh*t, and with an openign bid of $25? The dude is high.

i've had one of these in my store for a long time. i was asking $35 for it. i had no idea that they were going for so cheap. mine has all the normal broken bits to it as well. for being hi-metal these really didn't that high of a metal content to them. there are plastic parts that should have definitly been metal. still, you gotta love a robot that can stand on one leg in a full Matrix pose and not fall over. cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150400782993&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT

I gotta nit pick on this as I'm an obsessed f**king freak. This is NOT anywhere close, or even in the realm of "CHOGOKIN". Chogokin is a brand name used by Popy for it's diecast toys, which are primarily super robots. This is a "Mecha" toy, made of plastic with a handfull of metal parts from a Bandai line called "hi-metal" as it has a lil' bit here and a lil' bit there. Sorry about the semantics cholo.

BTW, xiombarg is right. I was saying the bashed one on Ebay was a POS. I actually have a fondness for this one myself. Actually managed to score one without the broken hoses. A miracle..

I'm super fond of the box art on it and the toy semi-cool.
