The GGG pliers are up for preorder on BBTS for a whopping $72. Even from the usual middlemen it's going to be $50+. No thanks.

D'oh! Thanks Pryzzm. I usually try to limit the order value to under $80-$100. That way customs tend to ignore taxing the shipment. But on those rare occassions that the item is very expensive (beyond $120) I either request seller to not declare the full value of the item or ship it to another address (a friend in the US for US-based items) who will reship the item along with other items I have with him in a bigger box and through a Balikbayan box courier so that it will be cheaper and no customs hassles. But more often than not, I just buy locally from the shops since the final price is abou the same. It's only for rare items that I go Ebay. Oh, and I never go through EMS shipping. That section of the local post office taxes the heck out of everything!! Gold thanks gold, ill remember that,,, i have not tried it yet coz of some horror stories ive read about the ph custom,,, but bec. of your experience i'd have it all figured out... thanks again kabayan hope one day i get to meet you ..... oh and thanks for the great pic...of al Just don't go EMS, those guys are just greedy! If you live in QC the post office folk there are very friendly, I'm not sure about other post offices in the Metro. Gold

Hello themazingerz:
Does the data weapon have any articulation other than simply clipping on the figure? I haven't seen much of the show.
(By the way, where did you get your set? These accessories are very expensive)
thanks Silver

Hi there! Well, the Lion's Saw spins & the Boar's Gatling gun rotates, but that is about it. I got it from a co-worker's sister that lives in Japan.

Prordered Solar Aquarion...it better be worth it. So far no signs of accessories. -_- In the description at amiami it says the following: "Set Content: Main Figure, Optional Hand Parts x 2types, Solar Sword, Mugen Kobushi Parts Set, Solar Sword Effect Parts" So it will bring some accessories with it... }D

Very cool! But SRCs are all like that, very high quality. Speaking of SRCs, I got this one yesterday... pretty cool - for a repaint. ;D }D

I like the metallic look on that "SKL version" Mazinger-Z... ... that metallic paint looks evenly applied to ALL the limbs on that figure. The color looks "smoked", or kinda "gun metal" as seen on most Smith & Wesson guns. I like that shade. That's the kind of paint-job that Shoulda been done for robots in the SOC line, instead of that crazy Chrome/Metal combination which really looks corny. Great score there! zozo-Mag

Guys/gals - just a general question...
Is there a reason that individual robot releases were never separated out into separate threads? This is 172 pages long now. I am trying to find some older stuff, and its taking me forever to sort through so many pages. I've been through about 60 pages and have not yet found it!! This is like putting all SOC discussions into a single thread! I can understand in the infancy of this toy line, but I think its time to start new threads for talk of new releases. No?

I very rarely venture into this thread because I dislike having to look through pages to find what I want

It is a pain to find stuff in a single thread, but like mentioned above, a lot of individual threads may be just as bad... But I don't mind either way.
