Good eyes! Hopefully is just a problem with the prototype and will be corrected in the retail version.

Funny, before Gt1an's photo, it hadn't registered in my mind that (finally) Great Mazinger was actually taller than Mazinger.

Funny, before Gt1an's photo, it hadn't registered in my mind that (finally) Great Mazinger was actually taller than Mazinger. That may translate to these figures not "sticking" to their advertised height of 14CM (5.5 inches), which is very good! ;D Of course, they may have made the Mazinger Z shorter than 14CM intead of making the Great Mazinger taller, but Bandai wouldn't do that, right?... }D

Thats an interesting point. I dont see it as a parts gimmick so much as different take on how the Scrander goes on Maz's back . Having the Scrander snap in to Maz's back and the belt a seperate piece does allow for some flexibility. Othere wise I think we'd be stuck in one pose There are probably a numeber of ways to get around "waist joint" issue true but allowing the waist area to extend a bit more it helps for the belt issue, but still the figure looks awesome and love the shoulders upgrade for more range of movement, but i don't like except with the sunscreen block on its nose =P. the Jet Scrander version is base from Shin Mazinger, however is more base to its manga version but i just notice something that made me worried for this figure.... are those scratch marks that i see? if so then OMGWTF!?!? I don't think those are scratches, more like light source reflection. the line is consistent for the angle of the shot, the strip of light can even be seen on the waist area. Plus the image on the shoulder is identical to the image on the wasit. However, I'm not 100% sure about the one on the forearm. ;D Gold

I hope that the final Alteisen has that candygloss finish, and that Bandai doesn't pull a Hi-Metal VF-19 and we end up with a plastic-sheen final product. That red is beautiful.

Wonder if the Square Claymores open on the shoulders or of the chamber for the Revolver Bunker opens?
I have the Unifive Alt, and honestly the details on this one look nicer. Paint job in the picture is definitely better.
Where the hell is Wiess Ritter?

Contrary to popular belief, No- God did Not run out of paint. ;D
Gold is right, that's a reflection of the light source and what looks like a picture hung on a wall back there. Including the forearm, it also shows the same reflection; it just looks weird because of the panel-line in the forearm. The same thing shows in that Great Mazinger pic as well, although not as much because it's a different camera angle.

If you go to this link that chogokinsnake put up and look at the pics of the ankles, I think they look ok, which again makes me wonder if there is some type of extension type of thing for the extreme poses.

If you go to this link that chogokinsnake put up and look at the pics of the ankles, I think they look ok, which again makes me wonder if there is some type of extension type of thing for the extreme poses. I think that you're right. Even if that isn't the case, posed more normally, this one doesn't look awkward at all, which is fine by me. As for the claymore doors and revolving bunker, we've seen already in previous pics that they do open, although the bunker ammo chamber lacks the removable shells of the Unifive version. While the removable shells are cool, and the fact that they're fully integrated with the bunker's firing motion gimmick on the Unifive is super cool (even if it works like crap), it's not going to be a deal breaker for me, especially if the joint work is tight and the paint looks as nice as this prototype. Again, as always, and to borrow the words of hatta... where is Weissritter? Where's the love for Excellen?

Crotch thrust is awesome. My Yamato Ingram is crotch thrusting like a champ right now and it's boner inducing.*
* I mean this in a totally not-creepy way, I promise.

I know, same here, I was kidding about the sexual inuendos as well. ;D
Gotta blame Kaiyodo for starting that Crotch-thrust pose trend; I think they started doing that just to make the revoltech robot figures look more "humanly dramatic", borrowing that hero crotch-forward pose from mangas.
