I agree with quinjester. Not saying that Mazingers aren't fine toys, they are, but they don't have that beefy solid feeling. Sato's design is sorely missed. While Fewture is still coming up with cool stuff, the newer designs are not quite as.. unique as Sato's. Even with the upcoming Shin Getter, it's fine, but to me it doesn't have the individuality and unified look that we saw with Sato's Getters.

;D Let's not panic about the "stand". I guess That there "stand" (looks like a mountain terrain?) is just for showcasing a pre-release of this specimen at a toy show; like a "stage prop"... ...in That case, why waste plastic for just a pre-release showcase toy. If Bandai really were to make a plastic "Terrain" display stand for these figures, I assume it would be included in the Accessories packages. Then, That would be so cool for these figures (and, to also use them with other toys like the Revoltech specimens). ;D zozo-magengar I don't really care about the stand... but using styrofoam? Come on Bandai, a piece of plastic can't be that expensive.

Hi all,
Any news on the Photon Lab base for Maz? I am curious on its size, and if it will push through. TIA
Cheers,

None that I've found. I wonder if they are realy going to release it in scale with the SRC Mazinger. It would be HUGE! It would be EXPENSIVE!! It will probably be a LIMITED RELEASE!!! Hope I'm wrong on the second and third one...

It's that panel on the back of his left leg, behind the calf, down near the back of the heel. zozo-magengar if I had to guess, I'd say it could be a button that, when pressed, collapses the inner leg panel to allow that extra knee articulation. I remember on GX-45 that one actually had to push in on the panel itself to get the knees to bend that extra bit, which would be pretty tricky on an even smaller figure.

The only thing I'll consider in this line is a Mazinger with the Photon Atomic Lab I wouldn't touch anything else in this line. I see this as a case of "been there done that in a bigger scale [i.e. SOC]".....well at least for the ones I'd otherwise be interested with.

I'm actually happy about this line. As Revoltech and RD have proven with their releases, smaller figures are not a bad thing. On the contrary, they are cheaper, take up less space, and seem to be just as good as their larger SOC counterparts. Yes, they lack all the gimmicks the larger versions have, but they are also hafl the price, or less.
Of course, I can't say for sure if these figures are worth the money or shelf space just yet. I'll be more objective once I have them in my hands. Until that happens, I'll continue to be an optimist...

Their small size is neatly practical in two cool ways: 1> if y'all run out of shelf space for These figs, you can always hang 'em on a christmas tree..... ....or 2>, send 'em to Me! ;D

Nice! Thanks for that link at least it answers the question if Great can use the Rocket Punch effect plus you can use the Thunderbreak effect on it's Mazinger Blade, cool.

It is nice to know that Great Mazinger comes with some accessories as well, like the Screw-Crusher Punch.

You mean Drill Pressure Punch, Screw Crusher Punch is Grendizer. Ooops! You're totally right! ;D For some reason I can't get Grendizer out of my head. Maybe it was that picture with it as the SOC GX-58... }D
