Perhaps you may be right about the demographics ratio part (Foreign super-robot toy collectors, compared to Japanese collectors)... I'd think that the sales would reflect or show where these specimens are being sold, and who's buying them. Isn't that what the bar codes on the boxes supposed to do, relay that information back to Bandai? Does Bandai even keep track of where these are being bought, whether thru retailers online, by land, or even ebay? Makes me wonder. zozo-Magengar I guess bandai japan doesn't realize that there are tons of foreign collectors out there who are into super robots (probably moreso than the Japanese) Anyway I'll be buying one of these just in case bandai pulls the smart-ass move and keep SKL a tamashii exclusive and a regular kaiser for the standard release

Beside the brown Tamashii exclusive packagings .. it should come with a cool looking boxart for it than the regular SRC Releases ... and should have more Gokin content than the Regular SRC ... and oh yes .. a STAND ..
this reminds me when i bought a Tamashii web Exclusive SIC Kamen Rider Kiva Emperor Form for a high price and later on Bandai used the same mold to make Dark Kiva + IXA as regular release and Much Cheaper than the tamashii web Emperor form

I'm more then sure that we'll get a non exclusive version, Bandai isn't stupid. Not that it would bother me if it is, I don't bother with SRC line(yet...)

Tamashii web exclusive just means they will not sell anywhere else but the Tamashii website. So, stores like ToysRUs, Amiami, HLJ, etc, will not get them. This just makes it harder for non-Japan residents to get the figures, but not impossible. It is not like a "Limited" release of 500 pieces or anything like that...
If you want it, you can get it. Look at the GX-49G, still available...

Much as I'm tempted by this Kaizer's variant design seeing the pic of the mazinger beside the GX-45 really puts a damper on my interest its simply way to small to peak my fancy....good for my wallet I guess.
On a side note I really don't mind the fact that they are exclusives provided they're not re-issued ever again, so in that light $115 isn't really that unreasonable. if it were $175 and bigger I'd totally fork over my dough. At the end of the day you gotta pay to play.

I see. Thanks for the info. The best we can do is play this as it goes. It's not like we're expecting a "thriftshop" deal... So, yes, as LurkerX stated- Ya Gotta Pay To Play. If the KaiserSKL SRC were dirt-cheap, then the quality would probably be half-azzed anyway. This one specimen (as with Any SRC) doesn't have as much diecast as its SOC brothers, and it's just a couple inches smaller than the SOC's... ...I was just surprized that This SRC got some kind of special treatment, and the high price tag, all because of its yet-to-be-released anime OAV series. zozo-Magengar Tamashii web exclusive just means they will not sell anywhere else but the Tamashii website. Lucky you. That still seems more expensive than an average SOC. I can understand $50 or $60 USD. Anything above that range will just invoke my middle finger.

If this was about a year ago you'd be paying about 60-70$U.S for it but since of mark up's/profit margins from middlemen and the fact that the U.S dollar is in the crapper is raising the price on these things.

i'm still having trouble deciding wether i should get him or not (Mazinkaiser skl) .. i wanted to get him thinking it would be a regular release and buy Mazinger-Z and Great Mazinger along with him ... and now that it's a tamashii web exclusive costing the price of 3 SRC's making me think twice before i decide to buy him or not

That "battle-damaged" mazinger looks awesome ! If they made a exclusive of that with the SOC GX-45 I'd totally bite.

ALRIGHT! after messing around a bit with the mazingers I have to say I'm loving the SRC line
I have to say I REALLY REALLY like Great more than maz in terms of accessories simply because the brain condor is FAR easier to put on than the pilder and for some reason both of the kyoukagata rocket punches wont stay on secure on mine (is there a trick to locking them in place?) and mazinger zs grip on his mazinger blade is terribly loose and no the crappy styrofoam base does NOT help Zs case
I just hate how my scrander belts has a tiny paint bubble on the gold part of it >:{ but hey what can you do with mass produced figures

I managed to open mine today, as well as the Act-5 base... does everyone know that each pack contains three bases??? What I'm I going to do with all the other packs that I purchased?!!!!
Anyway, I have one other question for you folks... are Great Mazinger's feet hideous or what?! It also looks pretty small in comparison to Mazinger Z. Finally, the red color used is nail polish red, not regular red.
Other than those minor gripes, and the feel of the plastic used, these are pretty cool figures.

Just bought 2 boxes of Tamashii stage Act 5 base, and after that realize it contains 3 in a box... I can use other stands for GX-55 Tobikage and GX- 56 Zerokage.... Do you try using the stand to do the flying post for both Mazinger and great Mazinger? Can the stand with stand the weight?
