yeah but it says "starter pack" so I was hoping there would be a regular release. Maybe this one comes with an extra weapon and the dvd and the one will come out later without....... well I am hoping anyway...
btw when do you pay for your preorders with toywave?

I bought a large can of Durham's Rock-Hard Putty. And, I also scored a 5lb pack of Crayola's old WetSet clay (no longer manufactured since a few years ago; I paid $2.50 USD for it at a thriftshop in Schenectady NY), which I'll use for making master parts templates and mothermolds.
As for the Durham's Rock-Hard Putty, to Those of you who already have the Mazinger SRC: use this putty to make your own solid paintable sculptable rock base.
I'd like to make some solid rock bases, anyway, for my other figures; using the SRC foam base as a reference view. I just need pics of the foam base-- front, back, sides, and bottom... any pics would be gratefuly appreciated. Thanks! ;D

I just got my Great Maz and Maz-Z today. They are great! Careful about the neck though, the paint scratches really easily and I already did it when I was attaching the hover-pilder. Seeing how nice they are, I've now just preordered the Mazkaiser SKL, both Reideens and Alteisen. It's easy for me to do this since I don't have many SoC figures.

No. Reideen The Superior is a mix of Gatchaman looking characters (Eagle, Owl, Falcon, etc) and God Raideen, and there's no CGI. Not the "best" Raideen anime by any means...

I got my SRC mazinger Z and expansion set today. Damn it's a nice figure. I kind of wish there were more ratchet joints, but all the joints that are present are sufficiently tight. It really is a Roboat Damashii with diecast. the best of al possible worlds. The add-on set is excellent. I LOVE the missile arm effects. They're probably the nicest done shooting effects ever. The way the clear plastic ties in with teh swirled smoke paint is exquisite. These detail parts are dynamite. Plus, the scrander wings are the same metallic red as Mazinger Z's breast plate which is luxurious to look at.

The quality, the metal, the paintwork the details... All are absolutely awesome. (sorry, crappy iPhone camera) I just realized that the hip bar that connects to the upper thighs can swing a little, giving one thigh more degree of freedom. Amazing engineering this little piece of toy is. Revoltech might still king of crazy poses, but I'm done collecting the whole line, Super Robot Chogokin figure orders will decorate my credit card statement for the unforeseeable future. Already ordered Great Mazinger, preordered Mazinkaiser SKL (at a premium ) & Reideen... No to sure about Alteisen, already have it on model kit form.

Nice one 25.
Imo...the only thing the Revoltechs have on this is the price.
The Revol joints are awkward as hell to move.

I was literally blown away with SRC quality and considering the development cost they sunk into this toy line, I'm quite surprised the price is still affordable enough. Revoltechs on the other hand doesn't need too much of engineering as the joints makes it easy to be applied on any design. IMHO, value wise nothing can top off SRC line... Except for SOC 50% discount + free shipping from HLJ ;D
