These are the best Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger renditions up to date! Not even the GX-01R+ looks this good!!! I can't wait for August to get here! I'm looking forward for the Dendoh and Ogre as well... and of course - the Mazinger Z's base.
I'm also hoping for a Classic Kotetsu Jeeg and Grendizer, as well as ALL the Getters they can think of.
I'm not getting the SRW OG figures since they are not my style, but they look good regardless. The Sentai mecha... well, I guess they need loving too. However, I'm not getting any.
Now, all that is left to make this a perfect line is some enemies! I would say Dai Guard, Dairugger, Daltanias, or Golion, but I rather see those get the SOC treatment instead...

There are at least a couple I will get. I have always wanted the blue gear fighter character.

Since they are 'cheap', I am going to get at least one or two. To display them in the office! And I hope they will release classic Jeeg.

Well, "cheap" is a relative term. $40 to $60 USD for a figure (shipped) is not really cheap. $10 to $15 bucks is cheap. These are not Hasbro Transformers cheap...

This is quite a potential line, if the diecast content is right... I hope it's not the end for SOC or SOC Spec line, tho... I'm digging the SRW models! Hopefully Bandai will start a sub-series that will focus on SRW bots sp we can get quality models without having to build the kits... I think these are roughly 1/144 scale. Wonder if the Cybuster can transform... xiombarg: hopefully the Weissritter is not a Tamashii Web exclusive

I am really rooting for this line to succeed and hoping to see classic combiners like combattler, voltes v , daltanias and the other Super Robot SOCs to be rendered on it.

While I am glad to see some new stuff here, I have to admit that I am more excited about what the future possibilities might be than most what we actually see here. As far as SRW goes, I'm just a little disappointed that these are all figures that have already received lots of figure and model treatment generally. It is good to see SRW in a more affordable and mainstream form, but at the same time we just barely had a SOC set of Dygenguar and Aussenseiter, and you can still get the larger Unifive-Banpresto diecast version of Alteisen relatively cheap which also had lots of cool gimmicks and a fair amount of metal. I guess it's good to see Cybaster, but I can think of half a dozen SRWs I would rather see before Cybaster such as Weissritter, Ryukooh or even something newer like Randgriz.
The vibe I'm picking up here and also from what's being said on other forums is a feeling so-so about several of the figures. God Reideen is interesting, but it's those big a$$ feet of his, and regular Reideen is ok, but probably not something I'm going to run out and buy anytime soon.
This is a good start, but I'm not exactly blown away by anything. I am glad that this series will have some diecast (is this confirmed?) which will set it apart from Revos and the Banpreso SRWs.

I'm most excited for this line to see what will come aswell the way things look is this might be a series for more action pose super robots that might not regularly make it into the SOC lineup (REALLY HOPING FOR KING GAINER!) and I have to say I'm really excited for the super sentai and super robot taisen figs here's also hoping for a Valhawk, ValGuard, Valzacard, and Alumarcus from Super Robot Taisen W!

Kay people we can all relax, this line isn't going to kill the SOC line at all infact it'll probably strengthen it by having deluxe versions of popular figures that sell well in this line. It's like the 1/100 Valk or mini VF-25's and the big 1/60 VF-25's, there not competeing with each other but instead are giving the consumer more choices.

What is really appealing to me is that now, finally, a Bandai line that will support old & new Super Robots. I know in the past there has been alot of debating over whether the SOC line should focus on the classic bots (Getter, Maz, etc.) or the newer robots (EVA, Gunbuster, etc.).
From the initial looks of things, SRW, the Classics, and everything else will be represented in the Super Robot Chogokin brand. And that fact there is METAL content in the ~5" tall figures blows my mind. Revoltech-like articulation + metal......you gotta hand it to the Empire (Bandai).

Oh, the articulation is way better than Revoltech's. It is similar to Figuarts. Now to sit and wait for more CLASSICS...

I imagine due to the price and size that we won't see any complicated transformations, gimiks or combination. I bet if anything we will get a figure that represents combined mode and then other figures for the separate mode. I think Dygenguar and Aussenseiter will show signs of things to come if they release a third combined version. I feel like this line sort of competes with revoltech in a way, and I wonder if we might see the revoltech prices come back down once these get popular.

I think I'd rather have a full-blown quality (sculpt/paint wise) little action figure like These, than have an action figure that shoots all sorts of spring-loaded things and gadgets.
I really don't actually play with them shooter features, anyway. Them shooter thingies often get bumped into and accidentally triggered and the fired object gets lost if I didn't see which way it flew... then later on I'm walking around the room and suddenly "find it" by accidentally stepping on it and breaking it; especially detachable Pilders and Condors.
Ever stepped BAREFOOTED on a small Brain Condor with its rudder pointing Upwards? Such a bloody mess. ...The Horror. The Horror.

For me shooting parts are just something else to loose.
