Aren't the kaijus Gamera and Godzilla owned by TOHO?
If So, then why not get toy licenses for BOTH monsters!

If So, then why not get toy licenses for BOTH monsters! zozo-Magengar Kaiyodo cannot make Godzilla toys, nor can they make any of the big name Godzilla villains like Ghidorah. Those are all properties of Bandai who wont let them have it. This has been beaten to death. Just be happy that Kaiyodo is doing the figures that would otherwise NEVER have been made. Bandai is going to make its own line of Godzilla figures for those who want poseable Goji's. |

Godzilla and Co. are owned by Toho Studios, but Gamera and Co. are owned by Daiei Motion Picture Company. If they were both owned by Toho, we would get a Godzilla vs Gamera movie since forever. |

Godzilla and Co. are owned by Toho Studios, but Gamera and Co. are owned by Daiei Motion Picture Company. If they were both owned by Toho, we would get a Godzilla vs Gamera movie since forever. which in turn Daiei merge with Kadokawa to become Kadokawa Shoten Pictures later on. |

Thanks for clearing up that info, guys.
I really had not known that each monster comes from
its own production company.
I kick myself in da Butt because I've watched these
monsters on tv most of my life and I had only recognized
Godzilla's Toho Co. brand while I never knew
what company created and produced Gamera.
Man, from what I gather, it seems to me as though
Bandai is being a real Tight-Ass Hoard in the toy world, huh! ;D

On a funny note: When I come to the main page of the RJ forum,
and I see a new Revoltech-related post by TMZ, I always keep
expecting he's come up with good news that a Mazinger revoltech
figure just got made or is in the works. ;D

Does it look to anybody else like his arc reactor lights up? any link for a preorder ? I believe you normally order it through Figure Oh 157. In the past Tokyo Hunter (and many the smaller proxy services like TokyoBuyers) would order stuff like this on commission, but neither have it listed. I'd probably try shooting one of those two an email. Toy-Wave usually lists the exclusives too, but also hasn't yet. If I'm faux-translating that last image right, the order period has only just begun two days ago, and it goes until 4/8 before the figure's June release. For some reason the SRC and Revoltech Super Robots don't look good together. Anyway, Kaiyodo would have to work really hard if they want to make something to even come close to the awesomeness of the SRC Mazingers...

You got That right.
After seeing how awesome the SRC Mazingers turned out
I doubt Kaiyodo could even light a candle for them.
Don't get me wrong... there are so many Revoltech figures
that look so beautifully sculpted, and Yamaguchi made a name
for himself as a very skilled artist for this toy line.
But when it comes down to details on a figure, Bandai gets
it Tight even in these little SRC figures, hands Down.
I wish they'd get their sh*t together in other areas as well. ;D
