Godzilla, Mechagodzilla, and King Ghidorah are apparently off-limits thanks to Bandai's deal with Toho.

Do you know if this includes MG/MG2, '98 and Kiryu under the Mecha-G umbrella? If they're out of the running, that would probably indicate Mecha King Ghidorah is a no-go too.

Yeah, sources other than another forum would be cool...
Hard to imagine that they can do all these other kaiju and not the main character ones from the same line of movies.
But the question remains... what about Jet Jaguar and Megalon???

You might be right. But I still would like to see some sources for this. From the mouth of Hiroshi Sagae, who is currently sculpting Revoltech SFX for Kaiyodo and previously worked on miniatures for Heisei Godzilla and Gamera films. This claim also fits in line with past, confirmed information on how licensing Godzilla and other Toho properties works. Bandai's licensing contract with Toho gives them what seems to be rights of first refusal. Still, this isn't apparently the end. I have no legitimate source for this part, only hearsay, but Kaiyodo is apparently taking this case to Toho itself, making this a temporary setback.

..But Kaiyodo already made / sculpted / released Godzilla(s) and other kaijus for years already.. Sure sucks if we cant get the Big G.

Am still keeping my hopes high though.
I heard the next Kaiju in line is GIGAN.
(skull knight? and Ironman as well)

..But Kaiyodo already made / sculpted / released Godzilla(s) and other kaijus for years already. That's not the problem. It's the specific kind of figure that Kaiyodo would want to make - an articulated, realistic Godzilla/MG/KG action figure, as part of the Revoltech line. Bandai has no exclusive claims to statues, models or vinyl kits, but a toy like that, which would definitely be competing merchandise... never mind that there ISN'T anything like that from Bandai yet? That's the sort of thing they'd be more than happy to quash, with Kaiyodo and fans like us being the ones to suffer.

Ya know, even if we don't get Big G from Kaiyodo in revo form, Bandai could still do an offshoot or something from their ultra-act line and do a Kaiju-act, Kaiju-figuarts or a Kaiju Damashii line with all the big monsters. Just a thought. Still love what Kaiyodo's doing so far though!

There's a big Alien Warrior feature over at the official site. Tons of large pictures, looks like it'll be full of neat features. Emerje
