When all that info is available it will be posted. See in my opinion what makes robot japan better than other forums is that everything is not taken as serious as other those other sites. And you still get all the great info.

For those keeping score here is the price watch:
RRP is 22,000 YEN
HLJ - 20,900 YEN amiami - 15,950 YEN hobbysearch - 16,500 YEN angolz - note yet listed
I've asked this in the Predaking re-issue thread in the Transformers forum, but I might get faster answers here about buying from amiami and hobbysearch:
- has anyone ordered from either or both of them? - how are their packing methods? - are their shipping charges reasonable (in comparison to say HLJ)?

I have purchased from all the ones you listed. Amiami and Hobbysearch now offer SAL, as well as their usual EMS shipping. They don't pack as nicely as HLJ but it is still good packing anyway.

I have had VERY good luck with AmiAmi. Best prices, reasonable or free shipping. Packed well, no issues or dents on box.

why does it have to be battleships there ruining the SOC name

Well, HLJ has the wrapping machine and the air pillows they use for padding. Amiami, Hobbysearch, and the rest of them still use good old paper as padding. That's what I meant by "as nicely". Both types of padding seem to do the job pretty good... }D

I don't see that happening. And I honestly do not know why these ships were placed into the SOC line; but they're already here, so let's just enjoy them as they come. It's not like this happens every day nor from now on. The Yamato is an icon in its anime genre and many fans are looking forward to getting a specimen as nice as this one. As for Bandai, they've been around for a very long time; and they're going thru all sorts of phases while putting out cool stuff over the years. I might not like Every single thing they put out, but at least they have something for everyone sooner or later. zozo-Magengar why does it have to be battleships there ruining the SOC name

In Japanese culture there is no bigger vehicle icon's than the battleship Yamato from WWII and in Anime it's the same, the only thing I think comes close is Captain Harlock's ships and the bike from Akira but those are way behind the Anime Yamato. It's like the Enterprise for American's.

Wow! For being an SOC, That is some MAD DETAILon that ship! Even the jet fighters are included. And, it looks like it could Light Up (the rear engines)! SchwEEEEEEEt! What's that compartment (or knob) at the bottom front of the hull there? Some sorta " planet anchor" to keep the ship from driftin off into space? ;D zozo-Magengar

Yeap! These ships are not cheap. Even the original Bandai BPX-01 was quite pricey back when it was first released. Of course, people will still pay whatever for them...
