I do I think that's perfect, I always hated the black boot look on the MP one plus it looks like it come with a Target Master. Good thing I never bought the MP version, now just to find out how much this is and if it will come to Canada.

I kind of liked the black boots, and that silver plastic look awwwwweful.
On the other hand, it'll probably end up somewhere around $140 worth of savings, and for that price, I can paint over the silver plastic and like it.

I wonder if Offshoot is going to come with the second MP issuing of the figure. It doesn't seem like Hasbro to go out of their way to create him for a stripped down TRU exclusive.
Also, look at the way his arm cannons are bent by the package. Are they chromed soft rubber so something?
Also also, is that MP Prime's larger Matrix?

I agree that the silver face was a bit of a shock but it could change to something lighter once this thing actually get's released. But yeah I think the price savings alone will more than make up for it. |

nice, maybe with this release I can actually transform it. I just have my Rodimus standing in his display case in the same pose he came out of the package in. Maybe I can sell the Takara to get this one. I could care less about the coloring. I'm all about the bot

Im more worried about the important stuff about this toy like:
Will it break when I transform it?
can he actually hold his guns?
Does his visor keep falling down?
Are springs gonna shoot me in the eyes?
The matrix does look a little bigger which is nice. I might get it to display in car mode beside my MP.

the color scheme is a big NO for me and it really is not toon accurate compared to its counter part tak version...
hasbro should named it Hotron and not rodimus prime

Well, it is different enough that if you plan on doing one Rodimus and one Hot Rod, you would be able to have some contrast. I have the MP version and may pick this one up if the price is right and some of the breaking issues are fixed. I have been lucky so far - no breaking on my MP but I have also only transformed it about 3-4 times.

I only make the long trip to TRU about once a year so I doubt I'll get a chance to buy this (totally missed Grimlock, I was there just before it came out and haven't been back since). Really miss when these were Walmart exclusives, those were always easy to get.
Anyway, some people have compared the Rodimus Matrix with the Prime one and they're different. I think the picture is a little over polarized, I think the colors will be toned down a bit on the actual figure. Expect Hasbro to show this off this weekend at Botcon.

Like with MP Grimlock, I was able to order one at toyrus.com. it is cheaper than the store but it goes fast. Best way is to keep checking tfw2005 and seibertron for the notice of when toyrus.com has it up for preorder.
