I don't know why he would get into trouble or what trouble if he is making a customize work of a character that doesn't exist. I understand it if he is selling or making profit off the intellectual property of Go Nagai. But how can he get in trouble if he is making fan art for himself. |

If you go back a few postings you'll see that it seems something was going on with the creator of UFO King Grendizer. I believe that he was trying to get something going with Go Nagai, and by the looks of it, he didn't really want anyone messing around with his creation. I might be mistaken, but that is what I took out of Acturus postings...

I got the feeling we accidently got a sneak peek at the new Grendy.. thats what I think.. I bet they told him to "shut the public work down".. I wouldnt be suprised to see that Grendy later on in an anime.. then HLpro comes in with an exclusive King Grendy figure a few months later.. just saying, thats my thinking.

I dont know, HL PRO is improving.. they are difficult to deal with but they got some real good-looking figures. I bet a King Grendy from them would challenge a Bandai figure..

Their Metaltech Grendizer is ok, I'd even say it looks nice, but it is closer to a first generation Soul of Chogokin than a modern Japanese diecast collector figure. But we're sliding off-topic here and I wouldn't want it to turn into yet another HL Pro thread gone sour.
Anyway, that could be cool. (The anime... not you-know-who making you-know-what.) Cool, but improbable. Would sure be nice to be wrong, though.

They made alot of Getter re-makes, wonder why Grendizer was left alone? Gendizer is a really good story..modern anime tech could really do that story justice..

looks like this project is pretty dead. i keep checking and nothing new is ever posted from acturus and the ufo king grendizer figure. maybe somebody else will decide to make one and actually finish what they started.
