This picture is circulating the Transformers websites. It seems the next Masterpiece will be a re-coloured Optimus who will turn into Ultra Magnus. Finally Prime will have his brother to fight alongside with now ;D.  |

That pic looks fishy to me. Looks to be either a fake or a custom. It seems way too messy to look like anything Takara would put out - the descriptions/text call-outs are just sloppy. Some things are capitalized, some things aren't. The leading between multiple lines (note far left pic with the text "Paint Matte Black All Side") is too tight and runs into each other. The ax's descriptions reads "Spray ClearBlue" and "MoldColor ClearLightblue". I dunno, I'm kinda wary about ths one. Seems like a bad photoshop effort.

In my opinion, I think they should either make an MP Megs or just keep OP by itself. I thought MP Prime was gonna be exclusive for the 20th anniversary of Transformers. Kinda like a symbol of Transformers' success. I don't know, I just think that that'd be more special. With all these repaints and no improvements, it just makes Takara look bad (greedy). Oh well, that's my 2 cents.

I'll probably get it since I was thinking of doing this to one of my Primes anyway. It may be a re-colour but it's still an awsome toy, and who knows if enough people buy this maybe Takara will make trailers or a whole new MP. At least we know the line isn't totally dead.

Well, I'm not really anti-repaint. If you want to get the same figure in another color, of course that's up to you. If you don't like the new color scheme, no one will make you buy it.  My biggest hope for this wonderful toy (besides an official trailer) is for a black repaint version to match with some black chogokins. ;D |

Kind of wish they did something different then just the paint. I mean fine, if they don't wanna include the trailer.. I can see why.. cause retooling it to make Ultramagnus look good with armour and stuff.. would be difficult. But they should have at least given him a different gun.. or packed him with something really cool thats different then Prime.

I pre-ordered one from HLJ.com. If I am getting this thing I wanted to ecure the early bird discount. Also, I believe that Takara (now being Brand focused) could easily produce a large, plastic version of the old Magnus Trailer (rework the inside to fit the new prime) and Voila - a REAL MP Magnus is reborn. Announcing such an item in february would sure boost march sales of the white guy  |

I agree that they should have atleast given him a different gun since it looks like he won't come with the Matrix.
Also I wonder if this will ba a Takara exclusive since I don't hear anything from Hasbro.

At least with the BT's we get some different body moulding or head resculpts. The least they could do with Ultra Magnus is give it some different weapons or head mold. Didn't Ultra Magnus lack a mouthpiece/cover? Perhaps instead of doing a Ultra Magnus repaint they should have done a black version a la that Decepticon black tanker version of Optimus (don't know his name). j*ryu |

BBTS has this for preorder. Not being a real TF fan, I gotta say this one doesn't really do it for me. I'm with those that want a MP Megatron. That should be the second issue and not a repaint. But I guess it's too late for that huh.

I am sorry to disagree with most people here. MANY bought both the Hasbro and Takara Primes. (TF Fans). SOC fans have 4-5 different Mazingers. SO, what is the problem with buying a white one (he even is a different character after all!) The message for me is clear: Either this Magnu or Nothing. I will buy one. |

i would buy the next masterpiece if it were of Scourge,i worry that if this new one has poor sales the line might die......but i am optimistic that takara might try to milk the design and release Scourge as the 3rd MP......i would definetly buy that. as far as the SOC line having 5 mazingers,atleast they released other SOC's at the same time or very close(i have them all and no place to put them.... ) if the magnus does it for you then thats awesome,if enough people buy it then the line should live on |
