I got both mine today and BBTS shipped mine in the original box......Unfortunately, mine was number 453 and in 324. Either way, I chucked the boxes! I no longer save boxes as I have stopped obsessing about my collection, I just try and enjoy it. Keeping up with saving boxes was a pain and required a tremendous amount of space.
All in all, I am very pleased with them. I would have loved if the figures were a higher quality vinyl and they were $50 cheaper, but what are you going to do.............I am just happy they made these for us "adult" collectors.

UPS delivered my Jumbo Dairugger yesterday from BBTS. This time the original brown shipping box was included, and the number is 87/500. I never got that brown shipping box with the GoLion, so I will never really know what its number is. I did get it pretty early upon their release, so I'm guessing it had to be pretty low anyway...
As far as the Dairugger XV, I like it a lot more than the GoLion. Seems to be better made, with more details, and way better paint job. The hands are also molded in a sword-holding pose, which leads me to believe Blazing Swords may be available in the near future...

Good point MazZ, that if they went to the trouble to give the hands cutouts, that swords would be an easy add on. The whole numbering thing on the boxes, seems so silly to me. Any large, numbered item, is usually numbered right on some out-of-the-way spot on the item itself. I've mostly only seen numbered boxes, on little collectible things, that would be hard to fit a number on. But not these jumbos! Also, did anyone have a good experience ordering right from the Store at www.voltron.com ? I'm thinking of trying that. Seems the price is the same.

I checked out that Voltron store... nice schtuff there. I like those 9" vinyl Dairuggers; if they were to have a 9" vinyl Voltron then I'd grab both robots now that I've got three super-robot vinyl figures of that size. zozo-Magengar

Yeah what they basically did was chuck the original box and then stick it in another...can anyone say duh? I think they just wanted to make sure they packed it with bubble wrap (which happens to be some real pimp bubble wrap that doesnt pop) instead of shipping it in original box with nothing although that still doesnt explain why they didnt just leave it in the original and stick it in another to protect it. I highly doubt the whole blazing sword thing. I wouldnt mind it, but they have other jumbos in que to worry about... that is all I will say bwahahahaha

Amazon has it. www.amazon.com/Voltron-Defender-Universe-Vinyl-Figure/dp/B003D8FCPY/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1298518045&sr=8-5And it pops up on e-bay all the time. There are a couple paint scheme variants as well. Sigh... I wish I could afford them all. As it is I am really leaning towards the Jumbo version, i can only really afford one. It might as well be the Space Voltron since it is a better looking figure...even though I liked the Voltron Lion Anime better as a kid. ~Will

I received my Dairugger jumbo today. Too bad I'm 2300 miles away and won't see it for another 10 days. Will take pics still once I get my hands on it.

Is anyone having a problem with their Dairugger leaning to the right? Mine is leaning to the right from the neck down to the middle abdomen joint. I think it has something to do with the internal structure support. I removed the the head and the springy mechanism / support is really tight. I tried to spread the legs in order to compensate, but it doesn't change anything. I guess I will just place something under the right foot in order to get it to look better on my shelf. Additionally, the red plane on the chest was not glued on straight. I may have to remove it. It just looks bad on my shelf with all these deficiencies. sdrv.ms/MHhGLW

gen1autobot - i hear ya about leans and dings and things with the toynami dairugger. it will be my first jumbo i sell. im not so keen on it. for a 24" robot to need an armature, thats a bad sign from the start. ive had arms fall off, the wing/rudder things on his helmet both fell off, the vinyl sags, etc. its way too heavy to be made of vinyl. it might fare well if a collector on the north pole kept it cool at all times, but otherwise, it needs regular maintenance. like i said, getting rid of this thing.

A bunch of us are planning on asking Toynami at SDCC about more Jumbos...last year they told me "I should get an account" for my store and I told them I was waiting for more shoguns...they told me to "stay tuned"...so next week it'll be time for a freindly reminder

zero interest in toynami until they move out of the vinyl jumbo arena. for the folks that keep their boxes, they could also look at a cool design next time around. the voltron boxes looked like they were designed in texas. they might come to the forums for some pointers.

Had a chance to talk to Toynami at Toy Fair and the new jumbos were still a go. Im sure they will update at SDCC

Talked to them at SDCC ...they are showing a jumbo of Bender from Futurama but when asked about anything else they said they weren't able to license anything...so I guess there's nothin else to say, the line is done

Yeah, and with Hasbro saying there are "no plans" for Micronaut toys (which makes me wonder why bother going after the license) it was a pretty grimm SDCC for news I was hoping for

update - i hate the toynami dairugger more than ever. my first shelf dive last night. heavy american issue dairugger shelf diving from top shelf all the way down. broke off the nose of my rare and expensive tetsujin. death to the toynami dairugger! bottom shelf robot belongs on the bottom shelf of the collection - or completely gone. anyone want this thing? otherwise, ebay away it goes. no more toynami gimmick stuff to fix or wreck other stuff in my collection anymore.

Sorry to hear that 1oldrobot. I currently have a cup holder placed under the right foot of mine (24" Dairugger) to keep it from leaning to the right. Be that as it may, the top half of this jumbo still looks like it's still leaning a bit to the right. Two reasons why I am keeping it. 1. First and only jumbo made of this character. 2. Awaiting arrival of MP diecast Dairugger to go with him on my display shelf. Cosmetically he looks pretty good, but like you said, it is too heavy for it's size based on the materials that it is made of.
