.... I have no words, Bandai. Seriously. I'm just going to throw my brand-new Yamato Escaflowne in the trash.

Damn I see the chogokin label on that card so that means its metal. I already have 2 transformable ones from Yamato (which I won't be throwing in the trash ) But this is a must buy for me, the icying would be if it came with a rider Vaughan What's up with this SHE/bandai collaboration? did bandai decide to buy SHS's molds and make them in plastic/ diecast if they did then they've successfully reeled me in again...can't wait for Godannar ;D ;D

No, it's most definitely not the same molds as the SHE (which I also have and wont be throwing in the trash) - the Yamato is much closer to the Studio Halfeye version than this is, but you can see that there's definitely some similarities that show that this Bandai version probably shares its transformation and was refined out of the SHE kit's groundwork.

Actually the only thing that will make me loose interest in this piece is if it turns out to be as small as the figures in the Super chogokin line....but this looks to be a new line from bandai so its really promising.
I would love this thing to be as tall at the Yamato one.

I think that half eye in the future might be helping Bandai designing more of the products. Utilizing Bandai's manufacturing resources would allow complex products to have metal in the pieces. This is good news indeed. Hope half eye would sell the complete change getter to Bandai to produce a full metal version... Now wouldnt that be something???

Time for a little speculation time. From the comparison height with the other SHE products this guys looks to be about 7 inches tall in robot mode. Typically how much would a transforming gokin of this size sell for? I'm hoping this will be in the $120 price range.

That would be a sweet price point (relatively), but I'm expecting more in the $150-200 range, especially with SHE's involvement in this.

A size comparison pic with some other SHE products. The Black one Shwugla or something is around 7.5 inches and the new Escaflowne looks about the same height maybe a tad shorter.

Thanks for the picture, Moleman. Hm. Smaller than I would have guessed, it looks like it'll be smaller than the Yamato version, but ... oh man does it ever look so much better.
Even though I regretted it the last time I said it*.... I will buy this, no matter the cost.
* SOC Daizengar and Aussenseiter. Woooweee did that hurt the wallet.

Man, if only Shulawga will get this treatment. It's almost as hard to find as S.H.E's Dangaioh.

You know one that makes this version look much better than the Yamato is the "grey (Gun metal) highlights.
I can live with it being 7.5 inches. Now I'm excited, though probably not as dramatic as a plastic cape I wish they'd gone with a cloth one.
I hope it comes with a "rider" and pushing it even further I hope the rider fits into escaflowne like in the anime.... ;D
