Predaking has a lion in his body like the brave Gao Gai Gar... is Predaking as GGG? Some transformers have something from other toys: Predaking - Gao Gai Gar but also Jetfire - Valkyrie  |

No, Predaking is an original TF design. I don't remember where I read this, but supposedly, Takara got sued by Bandai when Predaking came out because Bandai said Takara stole the idea of his chest from Daltanias. As a result, the guy who designed Predaking later got fired by Takara. Then after that, most ironically, Bandai ended up hiring him and he went on to create other great robots for them instead. Go figure.  |

Well, the lion's head on the chest was the smoking gun. Otherwise, I agree, there isn't much else in common between the two.

Even the lion's head is so stylistically different I'm surprised the case was given any merrit at all. Now if we were comparing Predaking to the Kaku Shogun with the Falcon attatchment THAT would be closer (But after hearing this, the latter was probably designed by the guy Takara let go...)
