I finally got a chance to transform my BT Grimlock since I received it as a gift from my gf for Christmas. After an hour of Transformer sweats (the sweats you get when you transform something for the first time and you don't wanna break it), I finally got it into robot mode.
WOW. It looks amazing. This is one of the most posable BTs by far. I really like the leg transformation of this one. It is easy and yet it doesn't cause any posing problems. The arms however, are kinda difficult. The doors kept falling off. But you can just snap them back on when they fall off.
Overall, I think this is one of the nicest BTs out so far. But I have a question for other owners of the BT Grimlock: The hip joints of my Grimlock are very loose and it usually ends up doing the splits whenever I try to pose it. Is this common for all the Grimlocks? How can I fix this?

Thanks for sharing your experience Bootx2, I'm waiting for my BT Grimlock as well and I am very excited. Will post once I get it and transform it.

Having been enjoying the flood of cheap SoC that came out in the last two months, I fell behind on collecting BT series lately. In fact, the last BT I got was Streak and Hound before Link2CoolToys.com changed hands (and they don't carry a lot of inventory, it seems). Oh well - Guess it's to the local shop for my BT needs now.
It's funny you should complain about loose joints on Grimlock - I'm curious to hear from other people who have Grimlock too. In my experience, I always found BT joints to be too tight. I have trouble transforming Smokescreen from robot back to car mode, for example. The one big trouble he gave me was that his legs wouldn't bend back into their folded shapes easily to snap the hood into the rear windows, etc...
Same with Lambor: I always had some trouble with his legs locking into the doors when transforming back into car mode.

As far as I know only the first BTs have the stiff joints, the rest, like the Hound I got has a more manageable joints. Thus I like Meister more, most of the joints have rachets instead.

I find that Meister's centre of balance is very odd. It is prone to leaning forward. I can't really get it to stand straight up or else it will fall over. Do any of you guys have that problem as well?

Hmm, I haven't had that problem with my Meister but I do remember having problems on how I'm suppose stand him up. ;D On the other hand I got my BT-10 Grimlock today, so far I am happy with it but I haven't transformed him yet. Will let you guys know by tomorrow, hopefully.

Just a quick update. I just finished transforming my BT-10 Grimlock and I must say I really like this one as well. Although I didn't get exactly the same problem that Bootx2 did I did notice a slight looseness in the hip joints but not enough to cause Grimmy boy to suddenly do the splits. Now I am at a new dilemma, need a real curio to buy. At the rate this is going I will definitely need a bigger display area.
