Wait, I found out that it's ravage and rumble Are you sure? I thought it was Ravage and Buzzsaw, hence the recoloured E-hobby repaints. I'm sure I can make out the shape of a condor at Soundblasters feet, in this picture, but I could be wrong.

Don't matter to me, all I care about is Ravage.

I hear ya.
It's also great that Takara is reissuing Soundblaster, which was a rarer Japanese exclusive and previously very pricey, just like Stepper. So, maybe we'll see the likes of Artfire get reissued in the future as well.

Soundblaster will be released sometime in Feb/March and come with two cassettes, not sure which ones or if there be re-coloured. But there will be the Cobalt Sentry versions of Ravage and Laserbeak for sale around the same time.

So how different is this from the other Takara Soundwave reissue from a couple of years back?

Well besides being a different colour, Soundblaster can hold two cassettes instead of just one.

Another different feature, is that the cassette door is transparent red, and can "decode" schematics printed on Ravage and Buzzsaw in cassette mode, sorta the same way the old Tech Specs decoders worked.

Is Soundblaster suppose to be an upgraded Soundwave or a completely different bot'.

According to Curt Fignar, of TFSource.com: In the Headmasters series, Blaster (Broadcast in Japan) and Soundwave fought it out, ultimately destroying each other. Broadcast was then rebuilt as a stronger form of Twincast, and Soundwave was rebuilt in the superior form of Soundblaster. So now we REALLY need a Blaster reissue so we can reenact that fight, and then they will have to reissue Twincast too!

Thanks for the info Rex! So I take it that there was a re-coloured Blaster too, that would be cool to see. I never really liked Blasters red/yellow colour scheme, I always thought that white/blue would look better.

Yeah, Blaster (Broadcast) was recolored in very Gundam-esque colors as Twincast. He also had the double cassette door, as well as the red decoding feature. Check out TFSource.com's pics and brief review: TWINCAST
