Daltanias68, that's really cool, giving the first hand experiences, from when you bought them. Were they at the NY stores?, Chinatown? I saw a few of those near me then, and regret not picking up more than just one. They grew on me.

The Henshin Cyborg Double Nine series came out not long after these. They have magnemo attachments so you can swap limbs and add to back ports as well. I think those are the more complex versions you're referring to. They came in Cyborg and Waruda varieties. Even though it was basically the same figure over, I think the common collector still likes to make sure they have all color variations, no? I also bought about 3 or 4 of these. The one I wanted the most, though, was the crab clawed one. I just HAD to have that. Too friggin cool. Weren't the more complex Walder type ones (KWII, I think?) also released around the same time? And these provided some different designs to provide variety.

A lot of people were able to snag some of the NeoHenshins, Cyborg 99 and Vinyl Invaders/Warudas as Diamond had imported them for a bit. I think that's why they tend to go for fairly cheap.
