I have been watching some EBay auctions on Daltanias’ and was wondering, Does anyone know how much an original Daltanious Popy goes for these days? The original Japanese Green Box and not the U.S. Godaikin.
Also, Does anyone have an idea how much the Black version goes for? Just curious I figure it will be a pretty penny (in the k’s) – Holy grail for some, right?
Kinda new here, use to be a member a while back but lost interest for a while…. I did a search on the forum and couldn’t find the info so any help will be much appreciated! Thanks in advance everyone and Happy New Year! ^_^

some seller in japan say close to one million yens for black daltanious mint in box.
the original popy daltanious dx chogokin cost 80000/100000 mint condition

Thanks enjoyjp! That is around what I thought they were, but seeing some on eBay clouded my judgment (most of those are pretty worn and weathered pieces).
I figured the black one would be pricey since its so rare, but over $10k for it?
WOOOW I knew Japan and China overprice their vintage stuff but not that much. I figured double of the regular popy ver. or $2k - $3k+

I figured double of the regular popy ver. or $2k - $3k+ Thanks Again and Take Care! -b i got this information about black daltanious from mandarake toy leader and also some vintage toys shop close to jimbocho. so,this is price inside japan,but black daltanious are hard to find ! and the original popy green box daltanious too in mint shape,recently i see one not so good condition 36000 yens from nakano mandarake. the toy leader from nakano,told me if the daltanious are dead stock with minty box,he can cost 120000 yens. japanese price grow up for vintage since middle of 2008 and became rare,especially mint or dead stock condition. the last thing was to be in japan for grand open of mandarake complex in akihabara in 2008,very good price and almost the all grall popy,takara,clover,takatoku and others stuff in mint shape. sorry for my english. |

I was in Japan in January of 2008 and missed the opening of Mandrake in Akihabara...I am so pissed. I've been wanting to go back but the strength of the Yen is just a bit much right now.

Wish we had something like nice like that here is SD, but we have nice beaches & great weather!  Don't worry about your English, it seems fine to me. So the reason for this thread.....  I was thinking (still thinking...  ) about selling ONE of my Popy Green Box Daltanious since I have 2 of them. Yes both of them are Mint In Box, Dead Stock or Gem Mint (I guess these kinda all mean the same?!?), but they were rarely handled, all pieces are present, all accessories still sealed, all paperwork there and the boxes have little/slight shelf wear (yeah I am one of those collectors  )...... Decent collection, No? |

Great stuff! And good eye. Glad you're NOT selling all. Gotta keep some to enjoy! That head piece (I forget the PB #) is cool on it's own. Not too often seen on a shelf. Also, what's the paper hanging in the middle top? I'm guessing a record LP sleeve? Please share your story on those sets! Were they just ebay auctions won, a score on a trip, or found over the years at local SoCal shops? Alway curious the path they take. The selfish little guy on my left shoulder doesn't want me to say this,  but... As to the price, something rare like those DX sets, will get fair market value if listed low to start an auction. NO way they'll be left alone to end at a low price. If listed correctly I've rarely seen it fail. |

Thanks for the comments, Daltanious was 1 of my favorites growing up so I had to have almost all the great pieces (Black Daltanaions  , I NV Admin1). The Daltanious Head I think the official Name is the DelFighter PB-82 (could be wrong?) and as for the Paper in the middle, I knew someone was gonna ask about that piece. It is actually made of cloth (cotton maybe?) and I don't think its an LP sleeve, maybe more like a Handkerchief or something? I Heavy starched and Ironed it so its almost like a cloth poster. I Kept the small Toei stickers on it too. I love the Super Bright Colors and that overall Popy Feel Vintage 70's style. You know what's funny? That piece that its taped to is the Transformers Chronicles Tapestry 1985-1995.  The Green Popy Box on the right was my 1st Daltanious I bought, super minty, only slight wear on the edges of the top of the box. The Green Popy Box on the left was my 2nd which has some small minor punctures on the top cover and wears on the corners, but everything else is minty too. I think I purchased him from a store in San Francisco, Heroes Club comes to mind. I don't remember if it was online via eBay or in person. I think it was online via eBay, but that should be the store's name. The US Godaikin Daltanias (US Spelling vs. Daltanious) Box in the middle was in such good condition at the time I had to get him. He's missing the blue cardboard backs to the accessories, but I am gonna make new (white?) ones. The Velarios Lion (box is kinda beat up) and Daltanious ST (box is kinda beat up, no styro but all accessories) are in good condition, I was gonna collect the separate boxes of all the DX Popy parts (Robot/Miraiman Atraous, Lion/Miraion Velarios, Glider/MiraiMachine Gunper), but since I already had 3 DX boxes I gave up on that - Didn't see the point of more boxes and less $$$... Come to think of it, yeah I think I bought all of these on eBay. Hhmmm, This is when I was eBay Crazy!!!  I have more pics of the Daltaious Head/Delfighter. I will post it in the Action Post pics in the General section since someone was asking for some there. -B |
