how fitting, if they get the approval then i guess many people will get him so the can have the classic clash of King Kong vs Godzilla sort of way.

I'm cool with it as long as they stick with giant monsters but as soon as I see a Frankenstein or Wolfman MonsterArt then I know this line has jumped the shark lol. But since their branching out they need to put Gamera in the line but they should really focus on Godzilla IMHO.

Just saw this today at nycc, i freaked a little bit because Ive always wanted a King Kong. King Ghidorah does not look as big as I expected but the box is huugge. The surprise of the day was Destoroyah who is ENORMOUS

Can't say I agree, since I think the more a series branches out the more interesting it is, which is why I thought Mobile Suit in Action was boring but I love Robot Damashii. I'd love to see some classic monsters of various sizes in SHM, especially a really detailed Mummy or Jurassic Park dinosaur (the revoltech wasn't really what I wanted). I think King Kong is a step in an interesting direction and opens some interesting doors to the line. |

I understand the need to branch out, I just don't want this line to travel along the same route that Revoltech's took. I prefer the main focus stay with Godzilla. there are more than enough characters to keep the line going. For me ... Megalon and Jet Jaguar are needed.

I think this Kong is from 2005, I would love to see a King Kong 1933 and Godzilla 1954 versions

I think King Kong makes sense in this line. Even if the line is all Godzilla it makes sense. King Kong and Godzilla did appear on screen together and he is basically a Kaiju.
Hell, I am hoping for some Pacific Rim tie in Kaiju when that movie hits!!!!

Ok so i eventually opened my Ghidorah, heres my little pros and cons list: Pros Great paints Awesome detail Gravity beams look awesome Nice size in relation to Godzilla Cons Price! Gravity beam stand is useless Gravity beams become unusable because of stand positioning imo Whole piece feels fragile So yeah it is a nice piece but i feel the gravity beam set up is absolutely terrible and just does not work thanks to the stupid clip system they used, they really should have put holes in the beams like with other MA figures. At the end of the day the price is the biggest problem on this for what it cost me, if you can pick it up locally for a decent price go for it anyone importing beware!         |
