Hello Group Just know, I am a total newbie and been doing my google searches for the past 6 hours. So please forgive me for any of my noob questions. I have a older brother who has a Jumbo LEOPALDON I beleive, thats been sitting in his room for a very long time. Since his bday is coming up this summer, I was thinking of getting it fixed and find the missing parts for him. I found this picture on google. Its pretty much the same...no hands...yellow shins are gone....window is gone..pretty bare bones. How much will this cost me to replace and who do I contact? I tried to loo on ebay...nothing. By the way how much does this toy cost? Also my bro has no clue in what this robot background is all about. He is a big Spiderman fan and we always thought Spidey jacked a sweet ride with this robot. Anyhow, sorry to be a pain but any help would be appreciated. Cheers Baby

Hi, babygirl28, and welcome to the site. That is a great toy your brother has, and that is one heck of a special gift you will be giving him!! That particular toy is quite expensive, when in good condition. In terms of fixing it up, I would recommend you contact kitsir, who has another thread in this same forum on his repair work. He already fixed up at least one of these in the past, so he likely has parts and stickers already made. It won't necessarily be cheap, but considering the value it will add to the toy (and the value of the toy upon completion of the upgrade), it is definitely worth it. Good luck, and keep us posted with your progress on the upgrades.

Thank you guys in responding to my message. Its a very cool and interesting hobby. I personally prefer Power Rangers though. Anyhow how much are we talking here for restoration? It be cool to restore this but will the cost be the same as 2 tickets to a Glee concert. Thats my other option for my bros bday gift. I will contact the guy your refer too. Thanks again... Baby PS - whats the story behind LEO and what company created him?

Yah, Kitsir is definitely the one to contact for reproduction parts. He is in Hong Kong. I highly recommend him as he did some repro shin guards and clear web chest plastic piece for my Leopaldon over a year ago. Remember to add on $100+ dollars for shipping/return for your item. Good luck on the restoration. I'm sure your brother will appreciate it.

Baby PS - whats the story behind LEO and what company created him? Here's a small excerpt from the CollectionDX thread found here: Back in 1978, Toei made a deal with Marvel Comics that allowed Toei to develop properties based on Marvel Comics for four years. The first show they did was Spider-Man (Toei no Supaidâ-Man). This version of Spider-Man differed greatly from the Marvel comics version, as Spider-Man now had a super car called the Spider Machine, and a giant spaceship; “Marveller” that transformed into the super robot Leopaldon. Marveller, incidentally, was named in homage to Marvel Comics. The decision to include a giant robot was made by co-producer Bandai, who went on to create several different toys of the character. The toy most familiar to US audiences would be the Godaikin Leopardon. ~Will

Hey Guy! Thanks for your compliment, I would like to provide her with the parts but some of molds have been broken already. To remake the molds increases the cost.

The prices & details PM you. Kitsir Thanks Kitsir. Does anyone know if Leo was released here in the states or it was only from Japan. I believe my bro got this as a gift from my uncle who was stationed in japan back in the late 70s-early 80s. I saw a pic of my bro and his Leo in the bathtub...he use to submerged it underwater.

Only in Japan. That's great to have old pix of him with his toys. We love those vintage photos.

Wow that's crazy!! $1800 for a complete set. I am fascinated with the story and history of this toy. I am planning to get my bro the DVDs from this TV series. Anyhow I just did a search on Leo and I saw one that's going for .99 cent right. Maybe I should get another one for myself.

Admittedly this is nothing more than idle speculation but I am guessing that Leopardon in its current incomplete state will sell for $800+.
