The SRX robot ( www.hlj.com/product/KBYKP-16 ) looks like a mess! Definitely not the style of the SOC line. A Daiojya would be nice! As repairtechjon says, it will fit nicely with the other "Clover" bots. BTW, great pic!! vvvv }D

I would like the SRX, yes, because the anime series I just finished watching. But an albegas would be welcome too. I don't really care for the Daiojya that much.

It's going to be SRX. The 2nd Super Robot Wars OG on PS3 is coming out this year. It's a rather big deal as it's the first PS3 release and it's coming after the very successful Inspector Wars anime series.
Bandai LOVES tie in's like this. Also... if you haven't noticed they have been making robots from the SRW games
God Sigma, Dai Guard are both featured in SRW Z and Z2.

Seeing what an SRX is now I'd go for the Daiojya or possibly Dairugger.

Daiojya for me although I would personally prefer Trider G7 & Dairugger.

This will turn out to be a win-win for all. If it is a character that we don't like, then we just don't buy it and save ourselves a lot of money. And if it is one that we like, then we will happily hand over our money to Bandai!!!

+1 for SRX, and it would be great if the three separate mechas, the R1, R2 and R3 are in scale with the SRC Weissritter and Alteisen. Don't know much about Daioja. A Dairugger XV aka Voltron 1 would also be welcome. But maybe, just maybe, it will turn out to be a new Getter Robo. One that actually transform and combines, like the studio halfeye figures.

Regardless of opinion, SRX seems like it would be Bandai's logical choice, from a marketing standpoint. 1 - Bandai has shown prototype sculpts of all three of the SRX's components at shows prior, thus showing that they are already putting work into the design - whether or not this will end up being an SRC release or evolve into a full on SOC release has yet to be seen (Cybaster has already been changed from an SRC to a ver. Ka Composite, so it's pretty clear that the final destination of those sculpts is in flux). 2 - Bandai has had a recent hit(?) TV show in which it was a major player, and has been heavily pushing the SRW merchandise in both the SRC and Composite ver. Ka lines. I'm not super familiar with Daioja or its popularity, but the fact of the matter is that the SRX has been put at the forefront of people's TV's this year. That makes it easier to market to a wider audience than one based purely on nostalgia (even as strong as that can be, especially for a line like SOC). If I were a betting man I'd be putting money on the SRX out of those two given the evidence that's been presented. Of course, I'm NOT a betting man, so I'll be quietly hiding in my hole until such time as scans show up on cybergundam

I also think is going to be the SRX, mainly because of the tv show and the PS3 game coming up. I just wonder about the engineering required to make a decent looking SRX combiner that can be somewhat atriculated without falling appart or scratching the paint. I don't want Bandai to make it a tiny SOC SRX to keep the cost of developing the figure down either, but I understand that if they make it the size of godmars and add a good amount of die cast to it, it will probably be the most expensive SOC to date, topping the $300 USD mark. And of course, it will sell out on the preorders.

I'd guess that if they DO do the SRX, they'll try to keep with the cross promotion with the SRC's and Ver.Ka's and have the component robots be scaled appropriately - that'd put the SRX at probably the same size as the Dengeki Hobby/Volks version that came out back when - pretty big, to say the least.
I'd be really worried about the engineering though, because as you point out, the transformation and combination of the figures is pretty complicated, all things considered. I'd love to see it done with minimal parts swapping, but at the same time I'd be afraid of it turning into an Aquarion-level clusterfork that could barely stand on its own.

Oh no, please...! Not like Aquarion!!! I get headaches just to think about how complicated and terrible unstable both Aquarions are. If they were not so cool I would have sold them both a very long time ago...
BTW, I'm also thinking is going to be SRX - a very very very expensive SRX!

It looks like a SRX is very doable it's just a matter of cost, if Dygenguar was the most expensive SOC so far then I'm sure if this get's released a SOC SRX will raise that bar even higher.
Yeah I guess you can see similarities between Daiohja and Daitarn in the shoulder and headgear design. But other then that their pretty different besides the fact that Daitarn is a transformer while Daiohja is a combiner with a combination sequence very similar to Daltanius actually. I should say the three pilots have THE worst costumes ever though IMHO lol.

wait...wouldn't SRX have 4 unit robot instead? im saying this because of the R-Gun unit that becomes the HTBC for the SRX. sure the R-Gun becomes the beam cannon for the SRX but is another important unit to one of the most powerful weaponry for the SRX.

Well, the R-Gun (my FAVORITE robot out of the whole R-Series, oh man I would buy the CRAP out of a SRC or Ver.Ka Release) isn't really necessary for the SRX robot proper. The SRX can still be the SRX without the Hyper Tronium Buster Cannon.
I certainly wouldn't complain about the inclusion of an R-Gun Powered though.
