After seeing the aquarion like backpack of the vintage Daioja with its ape like proportions makes me apreciate even more the perfection of execution of the soc. Are the wings part of the transformation or an add on?

HMM why are the top of the hands split also?Do they also split in two? Oh and silverdonz I think its just teh camera angle that makes teh weapons look overtly huge!!But they are big,but not THAT big.THIS is the first weapons rack/base I will be displaying for a large robot!!The symbol for Daioja on it acts as a large backdrop!!NIIIICE!!

looks very cool, it is way too much cash for a robot I dont know, and I dont like the color scheme they used from the waist down. but if somebody gives it to me I will not complain of course! I think silver thighs or chrome would look better.

One thing you guys arent getting is the colors are anime accurate.Ok some of you dont like the colors or wish they were different. That would be like making Mazinger's legs Green.Would you want a non anime accurate version of the Robot over one with what the colors are supposed to be? These arent new custom robots,or silly modern repaints,Bandai must stick to the colors of the show.Frankly if the colors were different and non show accurate,I wouldnt want it.Its not about BANDAI picking these colors,or making them more appealing to sell the robot,or chroming everything.Chrome thighs would be silly on this robot as it wasnt designed that way,it's about keeping it anime accurate. Those of you who cant get by 70s color schemes,it's unfortunate,as to me they are the only eye candy in this hobby, you cant make this something it isnt .You cant put Gakeen in a Shin Getter mold,LOL. AnyhowI like it fine, and love all the colors, and CANNOT wait to add him to my collection, this guy makes it closer and closer to getting all modern versions of the 70s/early 80's Super Robots.the REAL super Robot Era!! and Im sure many Daioja or 70s/80s robot fans do too.Anyone with me?

no, I dont agree with you. I am a huge super robot fan (real robots are gundams and the likes), but that doesnt mean that I have to like all the super robots ever drawn to be a fan. please stop attacking my taste for not liking the colors of the daioja please, I dont attack you then dont attack me. First off I wasnt attacking anyone, calm down. And I certainly wasnt pointing at you,If you reread you will see I said SOME of you and THOSE of you... Several people have stated they dont like the colors.By saying chrome is silly,is my opinion, just how you think blue legs isnt appealing, but that is the way it was designed!.You didnt make this robot,we all have a right to criticize it and other opinions on it. But it bothers me that people would rather have the SOC's non anime accurate in color,or hodgepodge colors to suit their tastes than have it be correct, but everyone is entitled to an opinion.I am very serious about the shows these Super Robots represent, whether ive viewed them all or not,but why would anyone want the colors completely different? Why not just buy random robots that dont represent anything then...?These were not designed by SOC to suit collectors who have no interest in anime accuracy, they stand for something created years ago,not just on a whim.I tend to think alot of collectors dont care about anime accuracy as long as the robot is appealing in color, and has 30 different wolverine claws attached to it,hence all the Getter repaints which are released in black, alot ofcollectors cant get enough of the same thing, how dull, but again its my opinion, sorry if its different.Id rather have a robot that represents an actual show rendered character, even if its bright orange with puke green stripes.. But alas boricua,I never intended to upset you,I was just venting, and talking from my own likes and perspectives,I would apologize but I wasnt speaking to you when I wrote it,but to the opinion shared by others also.I can't be the only ones who cares about anime accuracy, truly!

no problem but please remember that everyone is entitled to their own opinions and they are not silly to them even if we dont like them okay. I do love the engineering of this soc, is just that to me the colors are not appealing. I have not seen the cartoon, but if the colors are the same it wouldnt be appealing to me as well. the person that designed the colors for daioja wanted it to be different I suppose. I love the getters, and dont like repaints that are meaningless like "metallic" or blood splattered, but I do enjoy the weathered and black repaints, so to me it is fine.

Guys, its okay for others to not like the robot you like. Don't need to try to convince them to think otherwise... I don't have a problem with Daioja's color scheme, but I am still not that interested in it regardless. One of my favorite super robot is Jeeg (the original one). Others think he looks like a watermelon and among the weirdest Go Nagai design. We don't have to all like the same thing. Its normal.

I'm on the fence for this one - I don't understand why this SOC is so expensive...

that really awesome engineering, never would imagen how they would hide there arms like that. that is brilliant. i would like to see how the light blue robot becomes the arms.
also nice touch on making the dark blue robot's emblem go into hiding.

I'm on the fence for this one - I don't understand why this SOC is so expensive... Well SOC's and just toys in general have been rising in price. Also it is a pretty complex toy with what looks like a lot of parts needed just to build the toy. Design = parts = molds = resources/assembly = production = $$$$ But honestly the Yen price is the same as Godmars and God Sigma and less than GX-46 and GX-58 it's just the exchange rate that's making it seem more expensive than usual.
