Here are the news... from www.maketoys.jp/It's good the trailer is fully used as armor, big guns and missile launchers. And WTF ! Another Devastator ? ! ! It seems very G1 accurate... Maybe we will have no swaping parts or add-on...

These were confused as Fansprojects figures at botcon. Its been announced that FP is helping them and brought them to the show for them.

this could not be good for TFC. The news that another 3rd party company, will take a crack at making another G1 style Devastator. Kinda makes me think twice about getting exgraver now, since maketoys is supposed to be backed or is beng helped by fansproject.

From this image, and the previews of the TFC devs, it seems there is two very different stylistic approaches. This one would suit those wanting an updated, detailed G1 devastator, where I feel like the TFC is a bit more dynamic in its interpretation and would want a new realisation.

Honestly just the arm and leg and head upgraded on the Prime made a world of difference. So... a whole new robot.

Thats what i hate about the RtS Prime, he looks inconsistence to the mass of the shoulder while his legs and arm look so skinny (it made him look so fragile XP). This for me solves that problem totally, making it as a new figure like coldiron said.
but are you sure the head is an upgrade part?

The prototypes showed a new head.

Head is alo new. See my post at botcon. That was first thing that I notice, they change that ugly looking head to a better looking Prime head. Also, the backpack will house a battery that will link to the arm extension part to light up the sword. I ask the guy from tfsource and he said that the trailer will most likely turn into some kind of a battle station, but he was wrong because the rest of the tanker looks like more like a super armor attachment, and not something like the protector armor.
And it is great for us consumer to see another Devastator in the makings. Now we get a choice. Now I know this is significantly different from the tfc version, just like how the PE Reflector is different from Tfc's version of the Reflector. But given choices, in my case, I get to choose which one to buy. What I meant when I say that is bad news for tfc's project devy is that, at first, this was a only option. So, I was totally committed to buy this. But with the news from maketoys, I don't know if I will still be committed to tfc's devastator. And I know, I am not the only one that think this way.

Want the G2 Prime trailer... but we know nothing about the quality of their products right, other than the fact that they were promoted by Fansproject in the Botcon?

Awesome redesigns!
Will definitely be considering getting some of these (especially Devastator!)
If this version of Devastator is (much) cheaper than the "other" one, then it's a must buy!
EDIT: Where/how are we able to buy these figures?

It will be awhile before they release these. I mean the resin prototypes are made, but 3rd party stuff usually take a long time before they put it in production. I am thinking at least 4 to 6 months before we see anyone of these. But most likely, robotkingdom.com, bbts.com and tfsource.com will have them once these are in production. And with 3rd parties, the trailer/tanker for the RtS G2 Prime will probably be 80 to 100+. The Powerglide and Seaspray figure will probably be in the 40+ range.
